I lovingly refer to the oily residue left behind after recrystallization as the "junk". I've read that you don't want to smoke the impurities but that it does still contains a good amount of DMT. Out of curiosity, I simply added some damiana to the oil and mixed it around. I decided to try smoking it when it completely dried mainly because I'm still working out my GVG technique and wanted something in the bowl. To my surprise, 200mg had a very strong effect with heavy visuals! Not the usual experience that occurs with recrystallized spice but still very potent. It took me by surprise since I didn't expect much. It was very simple to smoke and when helping beginners find hyperspace, it appeared to be a good primer before exploring the good stuff. Like training DMT. Smile

I got almost a gram of quasi-enhanced damiana leaf so it felt like a very good use of the leftovers. What process do you use to make the most of the impurities?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Some of my best trips where from the build up of junk as you call it, they are the ones where I ended up taking much larger than intended doses. Taught me the impossible is possible, now I vaporize much cleaner so don't get it but can't see why people don't smoke it.
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.
As below so above and beyond I imagine,
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

It's strange, isn't it? It did work well "as is" but I guess the process of recrystallization makes a person think this residue has no value. It's certainly potent and I believe it's a great starter experience for beginners. You can get a lot of out it, it's easy to smoke, and save the pure spice for when the body and soul are ready.

I would just add small doses of clean spice to it, but it felt like really large doses when smoked. Would hit me by surprise sometimes just how deep I went of what seemed like a minute amount.

I'll have to try adding a small dose of spice to it. It was certainly a surprise to me too. I'm happy that I've learned there's still some cosmic magic left in those leftovers. Smile

There sure is it alters the experience for me only slightly but I do feel the difference from just straight clean spice. Not point in wasting it though.
