Well hello there, refreshed Welcome area!

I supposedly sowed some poppies (P. Somniferum) outside, but i cannot tell them from other weeds, since im not sure how young poppy plants look like.
It would be great to find out.

I'm sure Imperfect's intent was to grow them for ornamental purposes as they are quite breathtaking. However, I'm relatively sure what has been pictured is not what he's looking for. The flowers are way off in the second picture and the plants in the first look like a hodgepodge of various weeds.

When did you sew them? You may have planted them too late for germination.

The leaves should look more like this:

The best way to tell young poppies IMO is to see if there are hairs on the leaves. Almost like peach fuzz on the leaves. That is a good indicator.
Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer.

You can replant poppies throughout the entire growing season. Around here, the first batch just lost all their petals, and I see them around through early September, so I'm sure you have plenty of time.

Edit: Also, I'm not sure why, but when I hand sowed the seeds, they didn't come up the first year but came out the second year, without resowing. Ones started inside took right off though.

I'm not exactly sure what you meant with this comment but on the DMT-Nexus we like to be polite to each other and calling something 'the dumbest reactions ever' is not something I like to see here.

Check the Discouraged drug talk: RCs, Datura, Kratom, Ketamine, Opiates, strychnine to see what Infinite I meant with the discouraged talk.

Not sure about the bottom picture, but the top one looks right (at least the left leaf does). Wavy or ragged elongated leaves. Google image search Papaver somniferum for comparisons.

perhaps you may want to try starting seeds indoors (if your climate is not stable) then transplanting, my friends have had good luck with this method in the past
