Just got a Pedro "torres torres" cutting. He was an offset, so the cutting/ callous area is very small and well healed.

I put him a couple inches down in dry soil / perilite mix.

How much sun do I give him every day? I don't get much direct sun at my condo... just a few hours in the morning. I'd like to keep this guy here till he has roots started. Is it going to be enough light?

I keep the rest of my cacti at friends house till I get a yard with some light. I can take this guy somewhere too. But, if a few hours a day is ok till he gets rooted, I would like to keep him home as a companion.

Thanks in advance

yeah, a few hours a day is fine for rooting, when rooted always introduce them slowly to the sun to prevent scarring/sunburn
