Time-sensitive issue!

Please, does anyone know if ayahusaca brews will go bad?

Is the fridge the right place for them or should they be left out?

How many days before potency begins to dwindle or some other process makes it undrinkable?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Use it WITHIN 13 days of finishing the brew!

7 is better!

Keep it around 40-50F, so the fridge is perfect. Do not freeze or leave at room temperature.

not really

ayahuasca can be stored for a really really long time in the fridge without loosing the actives

the only thing it might do after some weeks is ferment, so the taste might change a little.. It is recommended to boil it up a bit again when you want to drink it, to get rid of any bacteria that might be there and not have been killed in the fermenting process

I know it's been said a million times the taste of aya is not exactly pleasant but from now on i'm going to throttle anyone who complains about the taste of shrooms!

EEEECH!

WHAT pray tell can i do to get that down? I couldn't even drink more than a few sips of caapi let alone the chaliponga which smelled even more putrid!

Can i add a cup of sugar or honey or something or ANYTHING that will help? That caapi was like drinking little needles or something, bitter to the bone!!!

Two vessels, 50g caapi and 20g chali..... they are at about 1/4 cup liquid each now, how low a volume can i boil these down to without hurting the ingredients, or do i run too high a risk of gulping/instantly purging if it's too concentrated thereby losing the entire thing?

I also noticed my brews are not without soupy particles, should i remove those by straining through coffee filter or could those have formed in the fridge and contain alks?

It helps if the liquid is cold since you do not feel the taste as much. But 1/4 cup should be fairly easy to sip. Close your eyes, and gulp it in one go, maybe 2.

But I find the taste of Calea zacatechichi even more repulsive and putrid. Compared to calea, aya is not that bad.

mushrooms are even yummi to me.. there were the days where I ate them straight out of the field, just walking, picking and eating haha.. nowadays I like to boil them when picking, dont want to get some intestinal infection

I've grown to accept aya taste.. its strong but quite 'gulp-able'

mimosa, on the other hand, yuuuuuuuuck.. that stuff is hard to drink
