If you had a glass with crystals, and already poured the solvent, how long can you keep it in the freezer?

like if you had to wait for 3 or 4 days? Will they go bad?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

You can keep crystals in your freezer as long as you want. When you take them out of your freezer you have to make sure they don't reach room temperature too quickly. Take them out your freezer and put them in your fridge, then when they have been in your fridge for 5 hours or something take them out of the fridge and let them reach room temperature.

Good tip!

I have had issues with taking the dish right out of the freezer. It stays pretty warm in my apt so sometimes taking the dish out without slowy dropping the temp via moving to fridge first either condensation develops or the crystals themselves turn to blobs. Now there may be a few other issues with this like impurities or moisture in the naptha before freeze precipitating but I think the sudden change in temp is the main factor.

Also, I have left a dish in the freezer for above 36 hours and eveything was fine. At least you'll be sure that everything crashes out. And I would think this is a great way to temporarily store spice. I know that personally this has kept my spice in high quality more so than evapping and storing as I always see a change in appearance after it comes out of the freezer.

My naptha jar lives in my freezer!

You'd probably be surprised how much will only crash out after the naptha has been in there for a week or more.

I've always wanted to leave a jar in the freezer for like a month to see what crashes out over a long period of time. I think I will save the naptha from my next extraction and store it in the back of the freezer for a while and forget about it. It would be crazy to find a bit after a month or so.

Why? I don't see the point. When the naphtha is in room-temperature, the DMT will start dissolving back into the solvent, even if you warmed it slowly. I just take the jar out of my freezer, immediately scrape the bottom and the sides with a spoon or similar, and the second after I pour the naphtha into the coffee filter - voilá! If it takes some time for the naphtha to get through the filter, you could place it in the freezer to avoid heating up the solvent and thus releasing more DMT back into the solution.

You can keep the naphtha jar in your freezer as long as you would like. It would probably last near to infinity. I enjoy keeping it there for a few days, because the crystals grow bigger (not necessarily more DMT, the small crystals just clump together given time).

So I'm thinking it would be easy to just attach the coffee filter to the jar before freezing and then immediately pour it out when it's ready
