My career with medicines started with a "this natural stuff is a scam" heroic dose of mushrooms after an uninformed first try with burnt psilocybin on a toast. It was an amazing night, despite me having done years of online studies on psychedelics I had no idea Smile I turned from atheist halfdouch to a loving buddhist (well, some kind of, y'all know) guy in a few hours or eternities depending on which perspective one would choose.

Unfortunately the night ended in extreme confusion and scared me shitless. Should have had a sitter who could inform me that time didn't really stop. The following trips went basically straight to the fear and I had to work my courage up slowly over the next years, especially since I didn't know anyone who was into the subject.

Anyways, that was 14 years ago or so and I logged alot of trips, most on the careful side but I try to meet with God as often as I dare.

As probably a lot of you guys I've been very interested in DMT almost since I started, but it took quite a while before I dared to work with it. (Btw I've had a few doses in my stash for about 4 years without touching it, in a little airtight vial, I can inform you that it was just as powerful as the fresh stuff)

So when I heard of Changa and its benefits over freebase I was Intrigued. A lot less scary to slowly increase the power, like taking a sweet walk down the mountain as opposed to jumping off a cliff from what I read.

Now I have completed my own extraction and made my own Changa of about 45% 10x Caapi (according to the thread with similar name), 35 or so % DMT and some lotus and passionflower.

So, the point of this thread: I have now smoked it a few times but it feels very hard to push further after the first few minutes?

Yesterday I put some 50mg of this Changa in the GVG and it immediately took me to a room of crystal clear room of visuals. Smoked more through a bong when that room started to fade but got only minor effect.

Today I smoked first 30mg of the Changa out of a bong which wasn't enough for the full color visuals and subsequent hits of totally another 70mg over 5-10 minutes didn't take me further than a close up zoom of someones dark fury tail?! Smile

I think I'm quite good at letting go and relax into it btw.

So what to do? Am I smoking way too small hits? Do I need more harmalas to be able to use Changa in a baby steps fashion? Or should I just give up, man up and smoke larger hits in the GVG?

Thanks for being there Nexians!

Harmalas vaporize at twice the temp of spice, so you'll need to get the GVG very hot to vaporize everything in the changa. I find it is better to use spice-only in the GVG. Harmalas are better when mixed with an herb and actually smoked, instead of vaporized. Sublingual or straight oral works good too, but it is easy to control dosage by smoking. If you want a 2+ hour journey, oral would definitely be the way to go, then vape your changa a half an hour or so later, in small doses that will gradually build up. Oral harmalas are the only way I can get longer lasting results, because smoked or sublingual, the MAOI effects start to go away after an hour or so and redosing the harmalas can be difficult.

2 hours would be luxurious, but I would also be satisfied if I could have half an hour where I was able to push further until I break through. Didn't seem to make any difference if I smoked it in the GVG or the bong either.

Maybe I should smoke some 10x caapi, in the bong, before hitting the Changa to make sure I have proper MAOI.

Seems a lot of the people here thinks the GVG rules also in the Changa space though? I think I probably dose too cowardly.

A quick read around here will show that some people like the GVG with changa, but you don't know what kind of experiences they like. And then many swear by the good ole pipe or bong. I wouldn't say that the GVG rules changa space, but it is the best thing for spice in general.

Smoking the caapi first would work great. I like freebase harmalas mixed with herbs in a regular pipe. The only harmalas that get into my GVG are whatever happens to be in changa, which does taste really nice in the GVG, but I prefer to use pure spice melted into an herb bed before vaping.

The harmala effects definitely come through with vaping changa in the GVG, but if you cook it once the spice is gone, there's a sudden burst where you get a large dose of harmalas (when using additional extracted harmalas). Another nice way to go is to sublingually dose with extracted harmalas or drink some caapi/rue tea 10-15 minutes before vaping.

SWIM hates smoking changa with a bong/pipe, it gives her the nastiest flim in the world.
