It seems extraction time is drawing near. SWIM has 100 grams of MHRB in his mailbox and everything is now in order to attempt a first extraction. SWIM has decided upon going the Changa route for his first voyages into hyperspace. Some advice is now needed. The resulting MHRB extract will be split into between two small batches. One will be used sans MAOI, and SWIM had decided upon a mixture of Blue Lotus and Mullien for said batch. It is the desire of SWIM to use the remaining extract to prepare a more traditional infusion of Caapi and Spice using a 1:1 ratio. SWIM has been looking at Caapi suppliers and it seems this herb is available in several textures ranging from straight dried chunks of vine to a fine powder. SWIM would like to use a shredded texture, but this seems to be more difficult to procure than whole vine or powder. SWIM wants to know if finely powdered vine will be a suitable texture for this simple spice infusion.

Edit: It seems there was some confusion, SWIM was seeing only Caapi vine in his searches, he now understands that he'll be needing Caapi leaves for use in Changa. SWIM is perplexed however, as Caapi leaves haven't turned up in searches. Can anyone provide a link to trusted supplier of the leaves?

SWIM is currently preparing for the spice extraction, and is thus has been concerned with going over the Lazy Man's tek a few more times. However, he'll most likely dissolve the measured and extracted spice in a small amount of Naphtha or 99% ISO, then add leaves to match a 1:1 ratio with the spice content of the solvent. After that, it's just a waiting game while the solvent evaporates, completing the infusion. SWIM does realize that the effects of using straight leaf won't compare to using 10x leaf, but this is more to familiarize himself with the effects and smoking techniques prior to experimenting with concentrated leaves in his blends.

That's the general idea SWIM has gleaned from the Changa section, and it seems fairly simple.

Usually get 'em from botanical spirit. You can pick up a lot of good stuff from them!

combine leaves with spice 1:1 ratio , add enough acetone to dissolve spice, mix well, spread out, and allow to dry.
