After ingesting 3.5 dried grams with my friend, we lay down on his rooftop staring up at the clouds on a beautiful NYC afternoon. I was delighted to find, while peaking, that if I hummed in different tones I could coax the patterns in the sky to not only change colors, but to shift their fractal patterning. If I increased the pitch and intensity of the tone I made, the patterns would eventually break apart (but very orderly) to reveal these hexagon-like tiles marked with fiercly etched "runes". These runes were most certainly a kind of language, or form of syntax that had surfaced up into the foreground of my experience. Curious to hear others' experience of this phenomenon. It was clear to me that this display was dependent upon my interaction with it. Wonder if others have found particular substances, doses, or practices that bring it about... Quantagy, I have not yet had the opportunity to try the humming or buzzing while on mushrooms. But in Terence McKennas book "true hallucinations" one of the main focal points of the book, is about the strange phenomena that was happening to all of the group everytime his brother dennis would hit the right pitch with a deep humming. I would advise reading that, its not a long read, and one of his easier books to take in. Everything I say is fictional, I do not support illegal drug use of any kind, SWIM is a fictional character.

Thanks, Lodi for the recommendation. I've not read True Hallucinations, but am familiar with some of McKenna's experiments. He and his brother really appeared to be on to something there.... "We're all in this together, by ourselves." --Lily Tomlin

True hallucinations I think you will find facinating..I love that book. I do this alot with mushrooms, ayahuasca and DMT..also bufotenine. Various tones have interesting effects under the influence of tryptamines. Long live the unwoke.

As fractal said, this humming or tonal singing seems to be particularly profound with DMT, mushrooms and ayahuasca, in my experience. No valid experience of bufotenine as yet. I discovered this via my friend, who started to vocalise spontaneously after smoking DMT on an LSD trip in this really nice spot we found in the woods near a stream. During the experience he had a benevolent and amazingly vivid encounter with a cephalopod/cuttlefish entity. I felt incredible after my attempt, had an amazing afterglow and the effect it was profound. I find it expands, deepens and drives the visions, almost like you can navigate them in some way. I recall one mushroom trip where my friend was vocalising, and it was affecting the visual architecture of my experience which was pretty cool! Might be worth looking up throat singing if you are interested.

I had a little episode this weekend as well. It was not sound to vision. It was motion to sound and vision. I was playing UV minigolf on shrooms and cactus resin. There was a moment where the glowing putter-head was indirectly effecting other areas of my vision. The speed, angle and direction I moved the putter caused diffferent mirror-esque distortions. Very cool stuff, doesn't happen enough. I have tried to get there with bufo but find it either impossible to procure or ineffective to my brain. I've tried every tek that I could get he materials for ... several times with several different batches of seeds from different vendors. All posts written by Madcap should be regarded as fiction.
