from what i could find when i looked the only faked thing on Sman was the ocean episode because the insurance company for the producers refused to cover the company for that. he spent much time in the raft but it was not constant nor was eh untended.

other than that its pretty much all for real.

i cant watch the other shows.

Also, if anyone wants to know why survivorman is no longer having new episodes being made, its because Les' wife did not want him out there alone anymore because its far more dangerous without a film crew to bail your ass out.

I was gonna say that his wife should go with him. But if you've ever seen the show 'Man, Woman, Wild', you would know this idea doesn't work out very well. Although it was kinda funny she made him not kill a turtle that would've been their dinner.
“Surrender is inner acceptance of what is without any reservations. If you have lived long enough, you will know that things “go wrong” quite often. It is precisely at those times that surrender needs to be practiced if you want to eliminate pain and sorrow from your life.”

Constantly idolizing their culture as "raw and primitive" for instance, as something "forgotten" that must be salvaged. While he acknowledges that the "modern world is seeping in", it still looks like these people are "primitive" ..while almost every culture has constant contact with the modern world. It might be hard to accept, but some people choose not to get too involved with the "modern world" by choice. Why should a good working culture change drastically? Only because of external causes ... i liked that he said that there are being roads built and pipelines...but well...he talks like an authority, like he knows everything about them , even more than themselves...all kinds of subtle little things hinting at long abandoned paradigms in cultural anthropology. Also, the way the thing is cut ..i don't know, its a strong feeling for most of the part. I could propably analyze it if i'd take the time, but im afraid that this will have to suffice for now.
