Hi all... Was at a mad party the weekend there in a Georgian Manor... Had some craic... Anyway, smoked a few joints of DMT with a few of the heads there. Have done this before, it's a nice way to get a little taste, it's usually sub breakthrough dose. I usually don't clean my spice or re-x it so I have a mixture of yellow and white. I'm very careful to avoid any of the bark soup on extraction.

When smoking it, it's not too harsh, but it leaves you with quite a cough the next day. My friend had the same experience. I've noticed this before too. A very chesty deep cough, usually clears within a day. I'm imagine that when I toke the DMT, it sticks all over my lungs and this is residual oils I'm coughing up the next day. Does anyone else get this? Has anyone any explanation?

IME That is not DMT, that is the effect of the combustion of DMT which must generate several by-products which are very harsh on the lungs.

Try vaporizing your DMT instead of smoking (using for example the vaporgenie), and you'll feel worlds of difference, guaranteed

Just a note, I was smoking joints this way before with a bit of MJ and the visuals were quite cool, very fixed and real looking, alice in wonderland kind of feel. I never guessed that there could be a change in the make up. We also had a go on the Machine that night but it didn't have the same effect on the visuals. This is low dose stuff now. I was walking around admiring them.

I vaped some spice infused bud in my gvg just last night and can tell you my lungs are experiencing the same thing your describing. I think its the bud that does it, for me at least since it doesn't happen when I vape straight spice.

I've smoked DMT-laced joints on several occasions and never had a coughing problem (granted, my spice is off-white and pretty pure). But I was under the impression that by smoking it in a joint, the heated smoke running through the joint actually melts and vaporizes the spice before the flame/cherry at the end of the joint reaches it, therefore atleast most of it doesn't combust. Interestingly enough, the joint actually gets wet and brown looking as the dmt starts to melt and stains the paper on the outside, it's pretty cool looking.

Regardless, try vaporizing your spice. If you still get a bad cough, you probably have too many impurities.

Do you have asthma or is that a possibility? Does it happen when you smoke anything else?
I get coughing / shortness of breath the next morning no matter what I smoke.

i cough up black residue shit after ive had a toke on some crack, im pretty sure now its due to combustion and not the actual oils vapourising.
i dont smoke crack very often so its was easy for me to relate the coughing up black stuff with having a pipe, but since ive been vaping dmt in a similar method but using a blow torch lighter i havnt had it. ive also not had it lately if ive had crack and used the torch lighter and ensured the substances are just heated and not burnt. before i learnt to vape spice properly i would just hit the crack with a normal flame without any care in the world for combusting the oils but im more careful now and it defo helps.

i also vape and do bongs of weed, at least 2 grams a day, everyday and have never coughed up any black/grey stuff from canna or anything else smoked.( the weed actually seems to help clear out my lungs of the black stuff after a pipe session) i also only started getting this the last 3 years, and ive been smoking crack an other oils on and off for around 8 years.

This is not the kind of talk we want here on the Nexus, first of all the use of something like crack, which is mentioned without any word about the problems of this substance and how out of place it is here. So either you aren't aware of the potential problematic issues of crack (for you or others), or you aren't aware of how out of place it is here, and in both cases you should reconsider.

Secondly this kind of language "black residue shit", just sounds off. As you have seen in the attitude page we preffer to reduce the use of curse words if they aren't really necessary to the sentence and just add to the general slangy negative use of language(imo the difference between for example an "oh my fucking god this was incredibly life changing experience!!!" to the "I get black shit when I smoke crack".

Yeah, please take notice both sharepapa and championpuffa, any crack talk is really not welcome at all here, at least in the context you referred to it.

I don't think having 'some craic' means the same as 'having some crack' in Irish popular usage. 'Craic' means having a good time.
