Hello, I'm obviously new here and I've got a question ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) This weekend I'm gonna smoke DMT for the first time, and we only have the option to use this vap: ![](/forum/FileProxy.ashx?src=http://www.headshoppen.dk/katalog/9d016a26910d337e409376c8361aea2a.JPG) Since we don't have much DMT(500 mg), we want to make sure we don't fuck it up. From reading, I can understand that I need a VG in the future, this is however not possible yet. Now for the question; is it possible to put sort of a leafbed inside the vaporizer, and the put the freebase on top of that to control heat better? Would absolutely hate to burn it when we have so little. Was thinking maybe some dried mint on the bottom of the bowl, with freebase on top and apply heat slowly. - Honey

Did you read up on the leaf bed method in... the FAQ? Assuming you did, I'd say you generally had the right idea. Slow, melt the freebase into the leaves a little, hit it a touch harder. You can also always use a bong... 500mg isn't exactly a SMALL amount! Anyways, you'll be fine. Remember to keep on extracting your own! ¤ø¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø¸„ø¤º¨

No worries about me doing my own I did read the FAQ yes, but I mostly understood that it was for bong use. I should be fine with leave inside the bulb, and just DMT freebase laying on top of it? Then apply heat to the leave from the outside till the DMT starts vaping.. Guessing that will be long before the leaves start to do anything, I just want them to shield the heat a bit. - Honey

Instead... 1 - Fit 3-5 screens in the bowl, place a bit of inactive (mint, mullein are nice - marijuana can cloud up reintegration...) herb in the bowl, weigh your dose and place it on top. Vape by drawing the heat (little direct flame) into the bowl - thick white vapor should be clearly visible... we have lift-off! 2 - 3-5 screens in the bowl. Then make a puck/pad of a copper or steel scrubby that will act as a substrate for your weighed dose. Spice will melt and run, so be aware of the potential for a LARGE hit later on from residuals. 10 mg - dmt handshake 25 mg - variable but strong, possible breakthrough 50 mg - impractical/non-sensical to inhale all this in one sitting for many, many folks Best, L "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool." Uh not sure I'm getting it lol ![Embarrased](/forum/images/emoticons/blush.png) Don't suppose you could make a little drawing? I don't know what you mean by screens, so kinda at a loss, and drawing the flame into the top would burn the dmt, no? Sorry ![Razz](/forum/images/emoticons/tongue.png) - Honey

Regular old brass pipe screens - there's one in the bowl in your pic, no? Yeah, do not draw the flame down with a heavy hit - be gentle, slow, and even - try not to touch the spice with the flame but if you brush it once, no biggie. Again, heating the glass bulb is not advised - difficult to gauge, inefficient, frustrating. Best, L "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool." Ahh okay, but still put the spice inside the bulb and heat the screens while drawing in air?

Don't put your spice inside the bulb, you'll never get enough smoke in. Put in on top, (on a bed of leaves if you wish), and heat from above. Use a torch lighter, that way you can easily measure the ammount of heat applied, Positive Energy Activates Constant Elevation

^^^^^^^^^^Thanks, professor! Honey, for your purpose, the bulb is just a pretty knob. L "The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool." Richard P. Feynman
