How possible is it to go into a DMT experience with a certain intention or to meditate on a certain problem or issue?

I speculate that it could be done by thinking about all aspects of the chosen issue pre-trip, to sort of prime oneself with the relevant information and the intention of finding a resolution or a new idea, and to set one's subconscious working on the problem.

During the trip it can be tricky to control things, to say the least.. but I imagine that a skilled psychonaut could learn to negotiate with the entities in a sense.. learn to understand their language, to engage in meaningful conversations and bring hyperspatial knowledge back to the mundane plane.

A balance would have to be maintained between the imposition of control or direction, and the allowance of freedom and novelty. Who knows where the most valuable insights might come from.

Perhaps the most effective advice could be compiled into a certain ceremonial procedure or "tek" for those who wish to use DMT to make an impact in their normal lives.

never worked for SWIM.. given a certain quantity smoked, its just beyond every intention or thoughts or happenings SWIM went through before launching. The only 'control' he ever had was inside hyperspace where certain body movements or sounds would affect that reality (like if SWIM forced the eyes more closed, he would go through the dimension he was in and go to another one where some more quiet meditating being lived)

but i guess its possible, specially in not so big doses

it is possible to begin to steer the experience and possibly direct it over time. we've had a few amazing moments where thought intent can change the entire landscape. We always perform a slow calming meditation before embarking and that helps alot to focus intention.
This is a most remarkable substance that never ceases to amaze and promote wonder. But once you think you have it figured out it hits you with a completely new angle.
My suggestion for anyone attempting to use this as more than a fun house experience is to please try it in Nature.
A purely natural setting as far from any man-made noises and objests is ideal for gaining a deeper understanding of this wonderous substance. Never Once have we ever had a bad experience, a bit intense sometimes but never negative.

This is something I am very interested in .

One time i had a friend smoking the spice at my house and i told him to prepare for the experience , atleast 15 minutes .
He sat on the Bed and cleared his mind , listening to Ocean Sounds and whale songs.

When he took the hits , I switched the Sound to an Icaro , none of the less , in his trip he had something i could call an 'Embryonic Deep Sea Experience ' .

Do you mean a sober person or a tripping person , or a group of persons to direct the collective experience ?

A sober person could do it with intentionally selected music and other Art , colored light or Body Work
the last one could be very effective with dmt , i imagine ...

Had he more quickly realized just who they were,he would have shown them more respect.Had he tried harder to fathom their brilliant minds,he would have taken more of their teachings to heart.Had he more clearly understood the purpose of their being,
he would have more vigorously tried to assist them. They were truly honorable; he was sadly prejudiced.
They were exceedingly well informed; he was grossly ignorant. They were totally indefatigable; he so often, and so quickly, gave up. Still, for many years there was a strong inter-species alliance between the Eleven-Eleven of the Half-way Realm, their Seraphic Associates, and their flesh-and-blood friend, a common mortal. Much was accomplished, many profited, and, there’s only one regret...They could have achieved so much more...

set and setting . what you bring to the experience and where you choose to do it is very important.
First attempts
felt like being victim to some insane ultra dimensional fun house ride. Dose is important to gain access and better understanding
vaporizing is a crap shoot sometimes. Very hard to estimate dosage.
swims latest theory seems to be a combination of our own brain and an autonomous level of conciousness that is somehow independant yet wired to our core psychology. I am imagining through practice being able to gain some control and understanding of the experience.
There is a certain part of our brain that tries very hard to make sense of the experience and come up with an explanation. I have begun to learn to let go of that rational approach and just see and witness what is presented. letting go seems to be the right path .
I think just like any worthy persuit skill comes with practice. swims true feeling is that this material has limitless possibillities and we know very little about what can be discovered and where it could take us. The experiments continue.

The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

Before smoking DMT I often 'pray' to the chemical, expressing why I chose that particular time & place and my gratitude for just being given the opportunity to receive it.

I have also tried praying for guidance in difficult times of my life, asking for solace and consolation. I never got a direct response regarding specific problems, but DMT has been able to ease my pain... in a strangely an ambivalent fashion. Sorry if that doesn't make much sense. The spice has a mind of its own! I figure that Ayahuasca, due to the additions of other teachers & its extended duration, would be much more effective. Then again, it requires more planning as well.

I think a lot of people do this. I know I try to. It's not like the chemical knows that you're praying to it but that's not to say it doesn't help.

The molecule respects Courage...Courage is not NOT being afraid...it's fighting on, regardless of how afraid one is, to find the truth...I find I always get the best resuts when I accept this mindset, say "fuck it" out loud, and then proceed to travel...sounds simple and blunt, but wow, results speak for themselves...Very happy
