what about following the dmt n-oxide to freebase dmt tek with jungle spice then one could separate the jungle spice from the freebase dmt by doing hot naphtha washes, and the resulting jungle spice would be free of any dmt and dmt n-oxide.. this could be interesting to know for sure if there really is some other unknown active alkaloid in jungle spice, or if the effects of jungle spice are only due to dmt, dmt n-oxide and some possible b-carboline in trace amounts (and other oils/impurities protecting the actives, preventing burning and making a more efficient vaporization)

has anybody ever tried snuffing the alcohol extract? why do pulls with water after pulling with ethanol? are there some things in the bark which are soluble in water and not in ethanol? how about not combining them but drying each seperatly? do you think 50C will damage any of the stuff contained? a friend likes to evaporate his things at 50C in the oven. ^^ fascinating stuff man. sounds like you have found some interesting bioactive compounds. its too bad this stuff is semi controversial otherwise SWIM would love to do detailed chemical analysis. again though could you provide some information on some of the physical properties of these compounds their solubility or how they were extracted. SWIM is ordering some new mimosa and wants to try and answer some of these questions for everybody. lets think of some experimental methods or extraction methods to do that.

Taken with extracted harmala, he has found that a simple methanol extract gives a deep, long trip - ecstatic and euphoric, while pure crystalline DMT is more like an hour long smoked dose, fast and intense with an abrupt drop off.
Exactly what I have been saying, even without an maoi the pure white spice does not give the "plateau" at which time you can "Relax a little and communitcate with the beings"... there is no "little snake BEE in my head" guiding me to various locations in hypersapce... pure white is just flying through hyperspace without the guide and being let off on the runway full circle.. a round trip to a vacation spot without ever getting off the plane.

Then dissolve the remaining ´jungle´ in acidified water and mix with zinc dust (as in the dmt n-oxide to dmt thread), rebasify, extract again with toluene or so, do another (or many) hot naphtha wash to eliminate the dmt n-oxide that became dmt with the zinc dust tek.. Then one would only have stuff that is NOT dmt neither dmt n-oxide.. then with the ´refined´ jungle spice, further tests could be made, such as bioassays, further solubility tests or chromatography or spectrometry tests if available.

^^ cool SWIMs friend of a friend will do some analysis in the future and report back. yea removing the DMT from jungle spice will probably help with the analysis.
