I first discovered dmt I guess a couple months ago and have had some very beautifull, strange, and intense experiences, but never had a real breakthrough. Last night I dosed 40mg of 2ci, and ended up having two different unique dmt experinces. I had never mixed dmt with other psychedelics so I had no idea what to expect.

Once I was tripping pretty hard on 2ci, I sandwiched around 70mg of dmt between caapi leaves in my small pipe and proceeded to smoke it. In a very odd way it seemed that the 2ci was cancelling out much of the rushing feel of the dmt. I took three or so hits and didn't feel much. Then I notices that my arms were covered in patterns and things started seeming very very weird in a way I had never experienced, but I still did not feel the usual rush.

Next thing I know, a hole seemed to open up in my wall and part of an alien world seemed to come into my living room. I felt that I was seein into another dimension. I didn't see any little people or fairies, but more like structures and "vehicles" I got the vibe that these were hostile aliens from another planet. There was a tower with an "eye" at the top (no, it didn't look like it was from lord of the rings), and when I looked into the eye things got way more intense. I experienced a red glowing light and I got the strangest most intense feeling in my head that I have ever eperienced. My eyes felt as if they must have been huge, and I felt as if I was about to be sucked into the eye. The intense sensatin and feeling of being sucked in went from my neck to the top of my head, but at the very top of my head, I felt a someething way more powerful and strangely euphoric. At the time I felt like the "higher" part of my brain had been activated, and as if a beam of light was about to shoot out of the top of my head (looking back on it, I feel like it had to have been the feeling of my third eye being open, or something like that). The feeling only lasted for couple seconds or so then stopped. The "aliens" were still there but I no longer felt I was being sucked in. I wanted o feel it again so I concentrated, looked the thing in the eye, and it happened again for a few seconds. After that, the dmt trip started to fade away, and I was left there wondering what had just happened. For a while afterwards, I was still able to feel traces of the strange euphoria in the top of my head, and if I concentrated I could make it slightly more intense. I finally started remembering stories of peoples breakthroughs that involve aliens, and I thought to myself, "ok I finally had a breakthrough, thats all." This helped to calm me down a bit, but the thing I realized later was that it must not have been a full breakthrough because I was still aware of my living room and my body.

A couple hours or so later, once the 2ci was mostly worn off, I decided to smoke more dmt and aim for a full breakthrough. This experience turned became very scary. I must have loaded around 100mg of dmt into the pipe, between thin layers of caapi leaves. I concentrated very hard to keep smoking until could not any longer. Strangely, not much seemed to be happeing again. Until things became terrifying. I don't remember anything between smoking it and this point, but next thing I know, I think i have gone insane. I sit on my couch looking around, and everythinng looks like a mess. Colors appear to be splattered everywhere, but things don't look psychedelic at all. I feel that my experimentation has gone terribly wrong and I'm likely to end up in a mental ward or something. I sit there repeating words over again (mostly NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO) trying to remember extactly what happened leading up to that point. I remember that I had taken 2ci and dmt (at this point I start repeating out loud "I took 2ci and dmt. I took 2ci and dmt." over and over again), I think that this combination must have been to much and has pushed me over the edge. At this point I see my pipe sitting next to me and I realize that I had just smoked and I'm probably just still tripping, and will come down before long.

After writing the last paragraph, I remembered what happened between smoking and my sitting there just thinking I was crazy. Things and shapes started moving and changing at very high speeds. I realized I could control a lot of the visuals and it was as if it was some sort of strange puzzle I was supposed to be solving. But I had no idea what the object of the puzzle was or what I should be doing. I felt as if I would be stuck in that situation until I figured things out, but I didn't I could ever make any sense of it. I can't explain everything that I felt but it was very scary. Somehow I think maybe the problem was that instead of my brain just going along with it, I was trying to make sense of it and think rationally. Maybe it had something to do with being extra alert from the 2ci?

I know that's a lot so I'll stop there, but I would appreciate whatever sort of input anyone an give me.

40mg of 2ci is ALOT, 70mg of vaporized DMT is ALOT. I would never recommend these size doses to anyone.
A word of caution.

The past few weeks i have been experimenting with 2c-i and dmt a lot. it is awesome, i know what you mean about seeing portals open up in the wall. i too have this experience. Last time i did it i spent a hour walking around my apartment looking at the different portals opening up everywhere in the flore and walls and ceiling. each portal looked like a door to a different dimention. AWESOME STUFF

Thanks for the reply. I know 40mh of 2ci is a strong dose, but it was completely manageable and enjoyable until the dmt. As for the 70mg of dmt, I've loaded that much plently of times and not had any problem with it. I've always heard that there is no worry of overdose because you can only smoke so much before you would drop the pipe.

Well, for most people dosing anything above 50mg would be pointless. Once a certain threshold is achieved the experience can become so abstract and so intense that it simply becomes dysphoric or one blacks out... sometimes both. Often coming round from such a blackout still with large amounts of DMT in the brain can be very unsettling.

With effective vaporizing technique (DMT is not smoked but vaporized, burning the DMT is particularly bad to taste and harsh on the body) most (99%) of people will not need more then somewhere around 20-50mg. For many people 50mg is un-necessarily high.

Research chemicals carry risks that DMT/Ayahuasca and other plant based substances do not. The Research chemical industry is particularly risky for many reasons. Recently there has been a growing trend of RC based activity on the nexus. I will mention that while many find these compounds legitimate tools, they are not the Nexus main focus. Please keep this in mind when posting here.

As others have pointed out, the dose of 2C-I was on the high end...

Also, in my experience, 2C-I is definitely one of the sketchier members of the 2C-x family (a family that, while of value, is not exactly praised for it's wholesome mystical purity in the first place). Sure, i've had enjoyable experiences with it at moderate doses, but at higher levels it takes on a distinctly twisted and sinister edge. I have seen wicked cyborg alien entities on higher doses, like something out of an H.R. Giger painting...

Simply put, your experience sounds to me like a predictable result of 2C-I's dubious & troubling energies coupled with the full-on immersion of DMT...

Try to take it one step at a time... choose your teachers wisely... and integrate...

Just a head's up - if you haven't already, I give it a day before you get a PM from someone here asking you nicely to change your name. If you smoke enough that you are forced to drop your pipe, you're probably in for a world of hurt. As Xt mentioned, blackouts and extreme dysphoria are commmon. Also, you can habituate a panic response to the spice, where even the smell of it can result in a panic attack. It's also just wasteful, and suggests that you really need to work on your smoking tek.

One possible exception, if you're on certain mood stabilizers, it can take much higher doses of DMT to get effects.

In my limited experience phens and DMT don't play all that nice together.
