I had the strangest experience today, while launching in the presence of my dog...it was the first time I had ever allowed him in the room, as I felt like a little company today...As soon as I began leaving my body, he started kinda freaking out, barking at me and staring at me in the craziest way imaginable...He ended up ruining the journey of course....Thing is, he's a chill ass dog...he has NEVER barked at me, much less while I'm laying quietly on my bed...As soon as things began vibrating, he immediately got up, ran over to me, and proceeded to bark in my face...Is it possible he was aware of what was going on at some level? Have any of you experienced your pets acting strange when you journey?Wut?

Perhaps your dog is a Narc!

JK, many animals are aware of vibrations and sounds outside of our limited human spectrum. Many dogs and cats and birds know that an earthquake will happen before it does. Perhaps your sudden rise in vibrational energy frightened your dog. A cat used to take extreme interest in me while I was on LSD, it would get right up in my face and stare at me eye to eye, it was funny but sort of freaky at the same time. I think it just wanted to know what was going on and if I was coming back to normal anytime soon.

Maybe next time you have a sober sitter, someone that the dog knows, when you try it again to be there to calm the dog down and reassure it that everything is OK while you are voyaging.

Keep us posted on any new developments. Animals are amazing and under appreciated.
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

I agree with you! There's much to animals we as a species have neglected to research.... The complexities in his facial structure, while i was under the influence of the molecule, were indistinguishable from human...I could see the fear/confusion/love in his face like never before...I won't lie, it was beautiful to observe him under those conditions...

SWIM had the exact same experience with his furry little friend.

Dogs are extremly good at reading body-language, your dog probably was confused by how you were acting while you was leaving your body. Imagine if your mom would start rolling around on the floor and speak in tounges all of a sudden when you were a kid (I'm not saying that that is what happens when you smoke Dmt, but it might be the way your dog apprehended the situation). It would scare the shit out of me.
Everything I write as Tordyveln is made up. I lie all the time.

I receive very similiar reactions from my pup.

I doubt its body language considering I smoke quite often and never had my pup freak out before for putting a pipe to my mouth, smoking it, and laying down.

Feeeeel the vibes.

I doubt it's feeling the vibes too.
dogs have ultrasensitive vomeronasal organs.
the way they can tell if you're tripping is likely by sensing your change in body chemistry.

my dogs never notices anything, no matter wot drugs im on, but then they are always in the room when we do them so its probably no difference for them, i find my staffie barks a lot at thin air and will get spooked by nothing and jump up spin round an an yelp like somethings scared him shitless, i havnt the foggiest wot hes sensing but its obviously something thats beyond our perception. it seems to happen quit a lot since we moved house.
i would say that your dogs is probably picking up as benzyme said changes in your body chemistry an may think you in danger especially if you tend to go into unconscious states some dogs will just know when their owner needs help, my dogs so far dont seem too bothered, they will come a see wots up if im on the floor kinda acting like im in pain an need help but a lick on the face is about as far as it goes.
PROHIBITION?? - just say NO!!

Curious1, I have also experienced this...I have felt both my father, and my dog's presence on dmt, when neither of them were around...I could almost see them out of the corner of my eye, almost FEEL them, but then I would come out of trance, and there was no one there...is this is relation to what you experienced? I believe it may be our guides...I have the distinct feeling that my father's spirit watches over my dmt trips...
