Old Lady Advice Continues:
Okay, given the state of the world, I won't be patronizing and say wait until you return. BUT, I will say do NOT take it with you. I actually know people who have done DMT, 5-meo-DMT and DPT in Iraq (& other theaters of war) and I consider them to be suicidal IDIOTS! Please do not join their stupid ranks.
2 months = 60 days.
Okay. I would humbly suggest something like spending a week or two reading books and trip reports online about DMT, as well as posting and asking questions and coming to chat when possible.
I would humbly suggest something like a month or so de-toxing, getting healthy, etc. if these are issues. In addition, I would suggest meditation or journaling or whatever you do. Maybe even therapy. Get ready to CRACK your head OPEN wide.
I hope you didn't choose the military due to a strong dominant personality or desire to control. No matter who you are you will never ever be stronger than DMT, you will never be able to conquer or control it. I don't need to know anything at all about you and I know that this is a FACT.
The key to a positive DMT experience IMHO is surrender. It is easy to write and difficult to do. When someone suggests something hateful or threatening in a public place I speak up (even though I am scared inside) because I know it is the right thing to do. If someone puts a gun to my head I surrender. DMT is like a gun to your head. And no one is Neo. You've got to let it ALL go, all your desires, like desire for dominance, control, life, a body, reality, understanding, . . . . . everything and more, . . . YOU MUST SURRENDER.
I am 42 years old. I have done DMT 100's of times. I am a DMT n00b. My hand shakes every single time. It is hard to surrender but I know what I must do.
Also, during this time, procure some proper hardware. The absolute BEST is a $100 pipe called a Glass Vaporgenie. But, most sleazy headshops will sell you a meth or crack pipe if you ask for a glass vaporizer. There are also designs for things like "The Machine" on this site.
When you are down to your last month or so schedule some time to do your experiments. Ensure that you have AT LEAST one FULL week, and perhaps two before you begin basic AFTER your LAST experience to begin the very, very important work of integration.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU
