This morning I harvested 16" from my large San Pedro, I wanted to know if there are any special precautions or growing tips I should employ to keep my parent plant healthy after the cutting. Thanks, Once All statements made by Once have no basis in reality, if reality even exists.

Thanks DG, so it should just callous up and continue to grow normally? All statements made by Once have no basis in reality, if reality even exists.

Its also a good idea to cut the top of the parent plant so that water does not collect and start rot. I like to cut one of the ribs away to make a vein to let out any moisture.

its advised to cut diagonally so water wont acumulate on the top of the scar and eventually rot. im just a blue reindeer, dont listen to me, listen to her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ABIkH7m0s

Yes, one inclined cut per rib, with the appropriate slope so that the water would flow from the center to the exterior. The text above was typed by frenzy monkeys randomly hitting their keyboards.
