me thinks you need to study the spines and coloration (id have a different opinion if the spies were black or red)
Nonsense.... One thing I have never seen is a Peruvanoid with black spines!
Coloration of the spines has very little to do with it, I have many many different Trichs, they are all active some more than others, even the PC clones are active, Ive yet to encounter an inactive one.
I watch the color of the spines, the shape of the ribs and the color of the skin change dramatically at different places on the same plant! You could take a picture of the bottom of my mother stock and then the tip and swear they are different plants.
Is it a cuzco? perhaps... is it inactive, definitely not!. Id say its plenty active! The main thing to look for in a clone is strong characteristics.... i.e. fast even growth, a thick bloom on the skin, good and fast root development. strong genes in any of those places is a winner, particularly root growth. Mix them up with other vaiants, Pachanoi/peruvianus/Bridgesii and you can end up with great plants
The strongest clone I have came from the most unlikely place and seems to be a mix of Pachanoi and Scopulacola. It produces no bloom on the skin has no spines but grows roots like nothing else and just powers up and up.
