Finally I got the HEXAN from England (5weeks on the road) and did a re-x of 600mgs.

I got 570mgs out of it and for me even by smell the Hexan is nothing else than Naphta (german 'Wundbenzin'.

Nothing new was found: (done with the same tek as before with Naphta)



Sadly I paid 22Euros with shipping for one liter, thats equal to 4 ltr. of Naphta...

very nice crystals.
Just on point:
Wundbenzin is not hexan, it contains alot of pentanes and what so ever but only up to 2% n-hexane. (boiling point of n-hexane is 69°C and Wundbenzin has a bp-range from 40-60°C)
Because of the relative higher harmfulness of hexane compared to other alkanes the DAB (german phamacopoea) only alows up to 2% n-hexane when it comes to benzinum medicinale aka `Wundbenzin`.

Btw I´m using wundbenzin for my STB and it works great. Nearly pure white crystals direct from the reduced pull.
It is only atracting a tiny bit of the yellow oils, so no fuzz with reX necessary for me.
Because of the very low boiling point it is easy to recondense, does not need a lot of icecubes when destilled.
So I´m able to use it over and over again. And in addition at -18°C it carries nearly no goodies ,so you have the full output.

Yes, my hexan from england was hexane

And hexane has a slightly different odor, so sorry for that miss-information. I am no chemist.
And I really love the Wundbenzin, too. It even smells good, somehow sweet.
My lime pulls are all pure white and very crystalline, too.
And finally its quite cheap, only around 5Euros/liter.
