Once upon a time in 2007 there was this liquid cannabis that this dude made, and it was not an alcohol or glycerin based tincture, but some kind of pharmaceutical grade liquid suspension hash stuff that you would drink by the dropper. One bottle contained about 3.5 grams bubble hash, and it was the best pain medicine I have ever had. You only needed a dropper or two to be effective but if one took 8 droppers they might find it to be very psychedelic.

This guy who made it got shut down and doesn't make it anymore and holds the recipe as intellectual property in case he so wishes to make it in the future. He could care less if anybody else figured it out, and made it for themselves.

I've wondered what it was for a while but haven't really done any research because I'm not sure where to start... Any of you genius chemists out there have any idea what the ingredients were and the process?

ive never seen it not in glycerin, but i could have been almost any food grade oil. soy corn canola. d-limo/almost any spice oil. maaaaybe prop glycol(dumb to drip, safe to vape tho). a secondary or tertiary alcohol you cant taste. veeery rare chance it was the phosphate ester of d9-thc in water. could have been isomerized, if he was a true chemist, maybe d11-thc or 1-aco-thc. those would need to be dissolved in oil.

was it clear? what did it taste like, was it volatile? smell? anything ive said is useless without this information

This was a product unlike any other. If you search WeedTracker.com for most potent edible or tincture you will surely read about it with many people praising it. He was not an classicly educated chemist but he knew his shit and these weren't the only things he had going on. It was rumored that he was a pharmacist but this was not true. Sorry for being vague but it is a must for reasons I'd rather not mention and I don't think it is necessary information anyways.

It wasn't clear and the taste I think was kind of bitter but it's hard to recall exactly as it was a few years ago. It might have just been the taste of the hash itself. It did not taste oily but I think it might have been a little thicker feeling than water. It was not volatile (are there any edible products that are?) smell I think was similar to taste but not strong.

It was a liquid suspension if that means anything I guess any kind of drug in a liquid can use that term. But I think it means that the active ingredient floats in the liquid and is not dissolved in it as you would have to shake it before dosing.

The starting product was bubble hash this was then suspended in some kind of liquid or combination of liquids that would make it effectively orally active and very potent. What can achieve this? How are different drugs in the pharma world that are made this way produced?

Edit: I think I remember it tasting kind of like cough syrup with some other flavors probably from the hash. It was definitely not tasty

I guess it is possible as well that it was just another glycerin based product, and the reason for the potency was because there was 3 grams of pretty good grade bubble hash in it. Where most edible makers skimp on the active ingredients.

Not likely though

You can dissolve cannabinoids in boiling water and drink the stuff. I've never done it with marihuana but i know that it definately works with plantleaves. A few handsfull of hempleaves will get you pretty stoned. I don't know to which amount of marihuana that translates, but you could try with one gram and see if it does anything.

^ cannabinoids are not water soluble..this is why bang is made with milk..cannabinoids must be heated and dissolved into a fat source. Simply boiling leaves or flowers in water will be insufficient..perhaps some trichomes come off into the water, but really that method sounds very inadequate compared to dissolving them in some sort of oil.

Maybe the melting point of cannabinoids is below the boiling point of water. I don't know why it works, but it does.

the melting point of cannabinoids mainly thc is ideally 180c some cannabinoids will melt/vape at higher around 200c (cbd etc) but thc will start at 140c and is ideally vaped at 180c there is no way you can dissolve thc in water, hence the water cure method.
there is a medication currently made with pure cannabis extracts that is 51% thc and 49% cbd this is mixed with a glycerin alcohol to help it be in a sprayable form the med is called sativex but is near impossible to get a script for it.
rick simpson who made the run from the cure vids makes an oil that thats just made with ipa. this is used to cure/treat cancer. etc etc.

There are also cannabis-infused sodas, which may be something to check out, if only to see the manner by which they get all that terpenoid goodness in there.

Its probably a liquid that the oils are soluble in. Look up all the different pharma solutions possible and then find the liquids that are edible and will allow the active product to dissolve without heat.
