A few questions for the cactus enthusiasts out there:

I just received my order of 50g dried peruvian torch chips. I'm not sure where to start with dosage, or how to prepare it.

I am new to cactus, so please forgive me.

-Q-

1 -Is there any extra nausea with tea as opposed to resin?
-Do you take anything to help?

2 - If I make tea with my crock pot, how long should I let it sit on low for?
-How much water should I add?
-Do I need to add citric acid?
-Do I need to do a second boil with new water?
-Should I boil the tea down to a smaller amount of liquid?

3 - What can I expect from an experience with torch?
-Should I start low?
-Should I dose slowly over an extended period of time?

--

This will be my first experience with cactus, and would like to gently become aquainted. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I'd go here here if I were you. I'd also eat it all when said and done.

Everybody has their own style, time, boiling temp, etc. Go with the above for your first time and work it out from there.

Is resin superior to tea in any way?

Is there less nausea?

Can I safely evaporate the tea in the crock pot on low?

If you got a lot of questions I recommend thorough searching of here, as well as some other forums, shroomery, mycotopia.

Superior might not be the best word when describing these things. Tea is often considered the most full experience, most thoroughly intoxicating and euphoric. Purified mescaline can still give some people nausea, but at least without the cactus flavor lingering in their gastric discussions. Resin like described in the tek is a great middle ground, imo, though to be honest I'm still waiting to try it. I liked my tea, and would like HCL or acetate, but this resin sounds too easy.

For nausea grab Dramamine (for motion sickness) eat a little before or drink a ginger tea immediately before or after.

I'd forget the crockpot and work with large pots if possible, otherwise, search function here and there. Or someone else with more experience. I began my second caapi tea in a crockpot, and felt futility laughing at me.

Let us know how it goes. I'm due for a high frying bridgesii dose soon. Or maybe a 3ft pedro. Whatever is easier to find.

I cooked my San Pedro according to an IrishLion tek. I ended up cooking it probably over 18 hours.

I loved the way I felt that day. It's got so much over something like E (though I've never had pure mdma) And that was a low dose.

Definitely will let you guys know how it goes. This will be my first cactus experience, and I'm very excited!

I'm thinking of splitting the 50g with my girlfriend for a first experience.

Nah, tell her you gotta test it out first, make sure it's safe and all Very happy

I just googled good dose of peruvian torch. Seems you will do fine together, 20-30g for first timers, 40-50g for more experienced. Have fun. Blankets, fire, music, art, the sky, those are some things I enjoyed on my dose.

20-30g for first timers??

20-30g of my torch dry would have me on the ground, or running through the forest. 12 grams is a visionary dose.
Long live the unwoke.

Depends on the cactus, frac.

I could easily consume over 100+g without thinking twice.

Wow, really? Is that a clone you grow yourself? My interest in the Torch has just kicked up a few notches.

I've eaten 60g of a pretty good cactus and was still quite capable.

I always find it very easy because of the slow onset. Well I say easy, I mean compard to other substances.

Hmm.. I guess I'll start with a 12g dose, and maybe take a second dose later. Even if it ends up being a low empathic dose, I'll still be happy. I like to test the waters before going in all the way.

On the same note, ime, about 20g San Pedro had no effect. So you don't want to go to low and disappoint yourself either after putting all that time into it.
