Yesterday I took 15mg 2C-E (from a trusted source) orally and had quite a strange experience, I've read that 2C-E is supposed to be very visual and slightly stimulating but I
actually felt very sedated and didn't experience any oev worth mentioning. Overall this first 2C-E trip was very disappointing, do you think it might be because it was my
first phenylethylamine experience ? Is there some kind of reverse tolerance ?

I have found 2c-e can be very subtle if the dose is low with nothing more than some aura type visuals; but the thing to keep in mind is the steep dose-response curve. I found 14 mg to be entirely underwhelming, as you have described it, but found 17 mg to be very visual and cognitively warping and it took me to the edge of the precipice -- I had the distinct feeling that another 2 mg would have had me wallowing in some sort of Naked Lunch kind of hell.

As for sedation, I have never experienced that, but I also wouldn't call 2c-e 'stimulating' -- it is more just a really really weird body load for me, with some waves of euphoria, some drunkenness, and a whole lot of...of...well, weirdness.

You might try and potentiate the trip slightly with 1-2 datura stramonium seeds (no more than 3). I have found they increase visuals a bit, and counter any digestive issues.

This is not typical of 2c-e. If you didn't experience any psychedelic effects at 15mg, I would be very suspicious about the supplier. 2c-e can be felt as low as 10-12 mg, and it is distinctly psychedelic. You could try pushing up the dose, but in my experience, especially if you haven't worked with it before, 12mg should be enough to recognize the substance as truly psychedelic. I'd ask how trusted your source is again before re-dosing.

never tried 2c-e but my friend is an avid fan and said that the low to moderate doses are mostly just for fun and that the real work starts at 18 or so mg. I have a 20mg dose so I'm plannig to do some extensive research very soon. It does sound like maybe your source had some not-so-good supply tho as it really should have given you decent oevs at that level. keep in mind tho that im just regurgitating info from a long time friend and lover of that substance in particular, and have no first hand experience with it yet.

Well, it was slightly psychedelic (some slight visual distortions and a better appreciation of art and my surrounding) and I had quite some bodyload (mainly muscle tensions) and had a hard time going to sleep.

Maybe the capsule in which I put the 2C-E didn't dissolve well, it was a 300mg lyrica (pregabaline) gelcap I emptied and cleaned up, next time I will just dissolve the 2C-E in a glass of water.

that may be the problem. the time i tried 2c-i i took it capsule and all and got next to no effect, just a bad bodyload and a little nausea.
