I am very happy to see something so creative from "stoners". I am very pleased to see the authors present the idea that labelling stoners or users is in fact a form of prejudice, and stereotyping.

Some of it was funny, and silly, and some of it nearly had me in tears.

Hopefully tears of laughter Embarrased Very happy

I too am pleased that they used Pocahontas to show that labeling is, like you said, "a form of prejudice and stereotyping"

I was amazed though that they included the Dark Side of OZ reference @ 1:29 - 1:34

Actually, the Wizard of Oz / Dark Side of the Moon thing was a unique experience that hit me suddenly. It didn't hit me with the intention it was supposed to have, I had my own little unique moment there. When I watched that video for the first time, I didn't know the art for Pink Floyd's album, or about "Dark Side of the Rainbow", I didn't know it was referencing Pink Floyd at all. That, plus I thought the lyrics were saying, "have you SENT the Wizard of Oz to the dark side of the moon, and watched in pure amazement as they sync". I thought the lyrics were referring to transcendence. And, that triangle prism brought on a flashback to a spice breakthrough, so it hit me hard. I thought the lyrics meant something along the lines of, "have you ever experienced the most wonderous joys and darkest depths of your soul at the same time... and watched magic of transcendence as the light dances with the dark? Have you ever looked to the stars, and made yourself so vulerable to expose your innocent soul to dark void of the universe?" That, combined with the fantastic art and wonderful music was a great moment.

That, plus the part about "And you'll never hear the notes fly when you're on itunes, and see the world like back when we were kids". I studied music for a long time as a "spiritual" practice. I used that as a way to explore the depths of my soul. I felt I connected with something deep within when I played or listened to music. But then..... I tried psychedelics, experienced levels of transcendence with music that I could not have possibly dreamed of prior. That moment in the movie struck me like a moment of triumph! Like, I would have NEVER heard the notes fly like that, really come to life, had I not tried entheogens. My life simply would not be the same. I felt such gratitude to have stumbled upon this stuff. That video was a trip for me on its own I guess.

Your last quote really struck me as something that nicely summed up the video. That video WAS like a trip to me as well since I've touched on most of those experiences or realizations in the video during my adventures. To me the video was like a giant flashback going through my entire experience with substances since the very beginning. From the stereotyping of "stoners", to the first experience, and then to the realizations and absolute wonder of this world.

It's almost kinda scary how this is like a play by play of the things I like now since starting my adventures. These adventures have changed me into someone who is more respective to others, more open to opinions and ideas, takes care of their body better.... hell, looking back I think i'd be a bit of a wreck without the knowledge (turned wisdom) that my adventures have helped me obtain. Shocked

Overall though, glad so far it seems everyone like the vid Laughing
