is dmt a relatively "safe" drug? is there a lethal dose that is known? i know that maoi increases the effect of the drug. would combining it with maoi make it harmful at all?

yeah, DMT is super safe, the fact it's produced in the body reinforces that. anytime i've read of someone going for super high doses. they either cant remember the trip when the come back, or knock themselves unconsiouss. ive never heard of an OD, if someone takes too much they go unconsiouss.

I don't think there is a lethal dose either. And if there is, it's probably the same thing as cannabis: you have to smoke a few kilograms to get to the lethal dose

lethal dose is unknow if any. Any way i mean... if you smoke it... you wont be able to injest enough to overdose even if you want to. After 4 or so properly done hits, you are too gone so smoke. That is, you dont even see the pipe/hands anymore. You dont even know that you have a body. The south american shamans using DMT are saying that a lethal dose ( orally with a mao inhibitor ) is possible. However, there is yet to be any documented casualty from DMT use. As with any psychedlics, administration to people with poor heart health and/or blood pressure issue is not recommended at all. But you know, the question is, can you overdose on fear? Some DMT experiences are quite terrifying.

This is an interesting list. For example the 5meo-DMT lethal dose is higher than of n,n-DMT! And 285mg/kg of psilocybin kills a mouse but only 12.5mg/kg kills a rabbit! So how can we know how much kills a human if there's so much difference there? Or what is it with rabbits??

Still, no one want to injest too much ( 100-200 mg smoked ) Of that i'm pretty sure. Too high of a dose must be asking for momentary hellish torments.

Ok, i guess it seems pretty safe if you guys say so. On erowid i read this article where 5meo dmt and maoi sent a person to the hospital. The individual took an unreasonable amount (i think it was >200mg) with an maoi. The article said that he had a pulse of 180ish or something. whats the most that you or a friend have done?

The Spice is utterly safe. Though you can certainly take enough to 'kill' yourself, though not in a way that's related to toxicity.

Well even pure water is toxic if you drink too much of it. Everything kan kill you or at least hurt you in too big doses.
