I have 10 acres of B+ land and im thinking about growing mimosa hostilis. Who has done this before? how and when do you harvest? I will give everyone here great prices when i get it going. Tell me what other plants i should grow.
I am also starting a homestead where i will be growing all my own food (permaculture) and other things i need, i will have livestock, greenhouses, a greenhouse devited to edible and medicinal mushrooms, extra living quarters, things like that. There is already two barns and a nice house. I will keep yall posted on this project when something happens.

Sounds like a good project ! But what sort of climates do you have there ? It's a crucial question when it comes to growing trees and plants outdoor. Mimosa hostilis don't stand the cold. Smell like tea n,n spirit !
Toke the toke, and walk the walk !

if you have the climate and space to grow mimosa tenuiflora, why not grow chacruna, chali and iboga too! Salvia would be a nice addition, and some hbwr, morning glories, various cacti... Man you've got me dreaming!! Let us know how it goes. Its a very warm climate it drops to 50-60 lowest in the summer/spring, 20-40 in the winter. i am going to fill up 90% of the land with edible and medicinal plants. they are not grown in rows, its going to look like a rainforest where bushes shrubs go under trees, flowers grass goes under those, mycelium and root vegetables under that, and vines all on the trees. it gonna be amazing. it will take a while though to get it looking nice. im gonna start work here in a month, do yall want me to post pics and stuff when i get goin?

Nice Sounds like paradise. Good luck and yes please post some pictures. But you should get all the info you can on growing mimosa. If temps go all the way down to 20 in winter it could be too much for the mimosa. That's well below zero celsius. โโโโโโ

I'm so glad you can live your dream. Growing medicinal plants is wonderful thing for yourself and others. I hope it goes well. I don't know if mimosa can withstand freezing temperatures though.

I am going to grow acres of plants, but before i decide which ones im doing some research. part of which is done consulting people in this forum. I am looking for plants that most or all of the plant contains a semi-high to super-high amount of n,n-dmt, or 5-meo-dmt. for example dmt is only contain in the root bark of the mimosa hostiis. i am looking for things that most parts of it contain dmt not just one. input appreciated.

hope you dont mind I moved your last message here, no need to make another thread if the topic is still the same, no?
regarding mimosa, the fact that its in the rootbark is not bad because you can harvest it sustainably, you dont kill the plant to harvest you cut secondary roots and you cycle through your mimosas so they can regenerate. It will take some years before you can harvest them though. Other plants you could grow with dmt content is some acacias (though Im not well versed in acacias and neither growing conditions), as well as also chacruna (more for ayahuasca than for extraction) and chaliponga.
For 5-meo-dmt, growing virola theiodora would be the best I guess but its a very big tree from the amazon, no idea how easy it grows where you are.
Good luck

How many mimosa hostilis would be sustainable for one person, say 1 gram a week?

do you know how long it takes for those trees to mature? they don't grow overnight "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." ~ hassan i sabbah "Experiments are the only means of attaining knowledge at our disposal. The rest is poetry, imagination." -Max Planck

yea, a decade is a good timeframe to get a decent size tree "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." ~ hassan i sabbah "Experiments are the only means of attaining knowledge at our disposal. The rest is poetry, imagination." -Max Planck
