Ever since I told my mum about DMT and that I extracted it, she asks me when we'll do it every time I see her. She just turned 60, is in pretty good health I think, she eats healthy and organic food, but also smoked cigarettes, joints with tobacco and doesn't work out. She's not really overweight, but she is tired if she walks up two stairs. The thing is I've let a lot of people try out the spice already, but somehow I worry for her... It's my MUM! DMT raises blood pressure and heart rate, and even though her heart is probably fine and there's no real heart conditions on her side of the family, the idea of giving her a DMT pipe scares the shit out of me. She says that she's old and wise enough to handle it, and if we youngsters can do it she certainly can. She has done mushrooms and acid a bit in the 70's, but hasn't really experimented with psychedelics a lot. She's really into indians and South American cultures, so in that aspect it might suit her. To make it more complicated, I gave some DMT to her ex-boyfriend, who is an old hippie, and he also offered her to do it with him. And although she rather does it with me, she's kind of blackmailing me now, saying that she'll just ask him if I don't want to do it with her. Someone opted to make changa and do that with her, wich might be a good idea, but it still scares me a lot. What do you guys think, should I trust the DMT spirit that she'll be ok? Maybe it's just a natural thing that I look out for her and just need some comforting.... Peace.

Starting with (very) low doses and (very) slowly increasing should help ensure safety and peace of mind.
I'm sure lots of people would have much worse dilemmas if their mom ever heard of their Spice stash Laughing !
it's about making life a neverending experience of wonderfulness!

Changa is a very good idea...gives the ability to work your way up slowly.
As far as health is concerned, this way she can stop at any point she starts to feel threatened. (physically, that is Smile)

Elru makes a good point as well. Being as informative and open as possible will benefit everyone.

I don't see what the big deal is.. Hell yeah, you should let your mom hit the DMT. I mean she gave you life!! The least you could do is share some spice with her. Just help prepare her for the experience, and let her try it out. Start low and all that jazz, and let her take it at her own pace, etc. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to share the experience with someone they loved or cared about. I don't hear of too many heart attacks from DMT, so as long as she doesn't have serious pre-existing medical conditions, I would think she'd be physically fine. Helping to prepare for the psychological aspect is a good idea, and making sure the set and setting are proper, are things you can do to ensure a more comfortable experience..

SWiM has had similar questions (unanswered so far...), being interested in sharing with her parents...
A session with tiny doses to start, as others have said. Great beauty and creative energy influx can be experienced stepping just over the threshold of course.
Also, SWIM shared with a friend and he commented that the experience was quite private... she agreed, and is still pondering on this. How to balance surrender, set, setting, sharing, and looking deeply within, deeply forward...?
Good journeying, let us know...

If you are going to sit for your parent, then just sit there quietly, off to the side. There is no need to influence the experience, but moral support as needed is a great idea..

Don't underdose!

Many feel that the way to go for a first experience is with underdoses...but many people find these uncomfortable and dysphoric. They never get to understand what the real experience is like.

It sounds like your mom wants the full experience... I say give it to her. What a wonderful gift to give to your mom.

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention.

I don't know SWIM and personally don't trust him at all. If SWIM is posting, most likely I will not respond...as I said, I don't trust the guy. YOU I trust, but never SWIM.

When I was talking to my dad some years ago about some of the wonders and magic of DMT, he who claims to have never done any drugs in his life, suggested, "well, why not make some?" Now I don't know if I'll ever plan on telling him that I tried it, let alone made it (let alone tried it....A LOT), but there's another part of me that's just dying to let him experience the beauty of it all. Unfortunately my dad does have a heart and blood pressure condition, so I don't think I would ever take that chance, even with everything else considered. If your mother wants to smoke it with you or that hippie, you might as well just let your smoke it with you. It would probably be very special to her if you did it with her, and she'll probably be safer with you for a variety of reasons.

YES.

I think it'd be great. She sure sounds like she is mature enough and has the life experience to handle it. Let us know how it goes if she gets her hands on it Pleased

I want to second this, I have only ever underdosed, either due to not wanting the full breakthrough or down to bad burning methods when I did want to breakthrough and all I got was discomfort that quiet frankly put me off DMT for a while, it even made me not care about breaking through and experiencing the amazement of such an experience.

That time has past and I am slowly building up excitement about breaking through, but I will take a pharmahuasca trip first.

Don't give someone a little on their first go, give them enough.

Although small amounts in a joint is a nice Smile

Thanks so much for the feedback everybody, I feel a bit more relaxed now introducing the most important person in my life to Hyperspace. I have spoken to her, and promised that we will do it in the summer. First make some changa I think... I will keep you updated! Thanks!!

I agree as well. Most people I give it to, take one hit, begin to notice shifts in visuals, get nervous and don't wanna take another hit, but for me, it always seems to take at least two hits to get anything of the real experience. I usually try to insist that they should take at least two hits and to think of that as the lower end of the spectrum. I know some here prefer to clear the whole thing in one shot...I'm not one of those people

Beautifully put. I hope she has a positive trip!
