I was actually there in the second row for this performance. You can actually see me for about two seconds close up on this HBO special...not gonna point out where for privacy sake
but you'll have to take my word for it. I've seen Carlin live three times. This particular special was particularly glum, even for late Carlin, but amazing nonetheless. His last special, It's Bad for Ya had a bit more of a positive spin on a lot of the same broader issues such as death and life in this country (and world). He will be missed.
