Chaliponga can be used in different ways in ayahuasca brews. Combined with chacruna in small amounts, it will create a very nice experience where it mostly alters a 'normal ayahuasca experience' and gives more spectaculare visions and just a tiny bit more mindfuck. Taken in large amounts without chacruna it gives a totally different experience than ayahuasca as most people know it.
The most typical effect of chaliponga is a very strong sensation of total alienation. There is a feeling as if every sensation you have is strange and alien to you. This aplies to things you see, as well as your own body, your own thoughts and in strong doses even your own counsciousness. In moderate amounts, you can look around you and get the feeling as if your own house isn't your own house, like somebody has build an exact replica of your own house to the tiniest detail and then put you in it. You knów that something is different, but you just can't get your finger on it.
My strongest and strangest experience with it, was the first time i used it. I thought it should be used in a simmilar way as chacruna and i added 20 grams

to a brew that already had chacruna in it

. At the peak of that trip, i thought that i had died of a heard attack or something, and that the thing i experienced to be 'me' was only a ghost. Ofcourse i knew that i had taken a strong psychedelic brew and that it could have been a dillusion. But the thing is that my experience of myself and what was my body was simply so utterly alien and unreal, that i simply could not proof to myself that i was alive. I totally wasn't able to tell anymore whether i was alive or dead, it was all just too strange.
This is the best description i can give. I can only strongly disrecomend taking such doses. Of all psychedelic's, chaliponga is most difficult to describe to people who haven't experienced it themselves, because what it realy means to you when you're in it is something...imagine that all of a sudden you discover that life isn't real and that you're not even real yourself. It's like experiencing exactly that.
The visions are very close to those of that blueberry clip. They're pale and extremely tangible.
The type of synesthesia, the tangibillity of the visions you have with closed eyes or in the dark, comes very close to mescaline.
In fact it feels very simmilar to mescaline in many ways, but besides the fact that it's visions are very pale instead of warm and colourfull, it totally lacks the comforting warmth of mescaline. While mescaline is a substance on wich it is very hard to have a bad trip, chaliponga has that alien dimension and the lack of that comforting warmth, wich makes it very easy to totally lose it.
