Hey guys, I'm planning on extracting some MHRB this weekend (for pharmahuasca), and am wondering what exactly would be the best method.

I plan on extracting the DMT and then ingesting it separately after a Syrian Rue extract that I'll be preparing; personally it always works better and for longer duration when I space the different substances by about half an hour.

My question has to do with DMT citrate and the method for extracting it. I've searched the forums and the wiki, and even google, but I'm having a lot of difficulty figuring out what the best method to do this is. I decided to go with Citrate as it seems to be easily extracted with readily available chemicals (I obviously don't have the time to order Fumaric acid off of the web before this weekend).

I'm wondering if it's possible to use the newer FASA extraction tek ("A Safer DMT Extration - No Lye, No Naptha), and instead of adding in the FASA after step 2, just evaporate the acetone and be left with DMT Citrate.

Basically what I'm suggesting is to saturate powdered MHRB with acetone and citric acid in order to extract DMT citrate. Is this possible? Is this old news, and I've just somehow missed the article/post on it?

Also, Infundibulum wrote:

This method does not discriminate between the alkaloids that are extracted (j.spice, d., d-Noxide etc etc), this is however a subject of discussion.

Does this mean that the extraction would be more similar to just boiling MHRB in water for ayahuasca like I've done in the past, containing a fuller alkaloid range?

And one last thing: is there any information on the absorption ability of DMT Citrate? Is it a good choice for pharmahuasca when DMT Fumarate is unavailable? I'm having a lot of trouble finding information on what appear to be lesser used salts of the tryptamine.

Sorry for the barrage of questions guys, it's just that I've been swallowing down information on extractions for the past few days, and I'm just now making the effort to post, so I've had these ideas bottled up in my head for a while. Hopefully someone can help me out, thanks in advance.

Edit: how do I get the quote function to show Infundibulum's name in bold like it is in every other quoted post?
I am seriously making all of this stuff up. No, really.

As I understand it, the easiest way to get DMT Citrate is to dissolve some freebase spice into some lemon or orange juice.

Don't worry about extracting DMT citrate.. Just do the extraction like normal. If you don't have any fumaric acid to make the FASA, then just evap your solvent, make sure it's fully evap'd and weigh your dose. Once weighed, dissolve in some lemon juice and bottoms up!

If you really want to extract dmt citrate, some of the other members might be able to help out. It would be interesting to see the outcome.

You can make DMT citrate as you so with DMT fumarate, just subbing fumaric acid for citric so your FASA would be CASA.

The thing with citrate is it's all gooey and stuff, making it hard to weigh and handle.

Freebase is probably your best option using the method put forward by Melodic Catastrophe above.
