So after my dog Isis finished putting the snow globes in the fridge, she is left with some naptha. She also has so yellow spice that she would like "clean" and recrystalize. I know it can be done with naptha. Im just without a scale at the moment and am not sure how much spice I have. Do you guys have any suggestions for a good re xtal process?

Doing a freeze precip with naptha will help clean up your crystals, I cleaned up some oily orange DMT into beautiful white crystals by freeze precip'ing in naptha.


What I did was warmed a shotglass full of Naptha on my radiator and dissolved my DMT in it.(you can disolve more DMT in warm naptha). Then I covered the shot glass with plastic wrap and put it in my freezer for a couple days. Most of the crystals snowed out of the naptha within the first 12 hours but I left it in there for another day because I wasn't in a hurry.

To get the best results you are going to want your naptha fully saturated with DMT. You want to get as much DMT to dissolve in the naptha as possible before you freeze it.

thanks, so without a scale, I would just pour enough warmed naptha to cover and then stir till saturated. Cover that and toss it in the freezer? do i need to wash again with ammonia or no? also if i already washed this spice with ammonia is this extal still helpful?

yeah, dont worry about a thing, put a jar (better than shot glass, shot glass can easily fall over) in a pot of hot, but not boiling water, steaming is best. leave about a shotglass worth of naptha in it, then let it warm completely to the temp of the water. heat up the water, then turn burner off and add jar with naptha, then let it warm and add spice. stir, if particals are still floating around, keep adding a little more and letting it warm, and so on and so on. then put into fridge for 1 hour to cool slowly, then add to freezer on the coldest temp for 72 hours or more. then pour out freezing naptha into jar and save for next time. the longer in the freezer the better, and the fridge first is actually a important step, can really help potency.

Freeze precip works because cold naptha cannot hold as much DMT as warm naptha so the DMT snows out. Right?

If this is the case all that matters is how cold you get the naptha. Right? The fridge first wouldn't matter, it would just extend the cooling process.

That's the first time I've heard of potency being effected by the fridge.

Growing nice xtals yes, the fridge first is a good step, but not for potency.

Dmt is dmt, weather you rex in the fridge then freezer or just freezer makes no difference IME.

Forget what he said, its misinformation! Dmt is dmt, putting in the fridge will alter nothing in terms of potency. The only thing alternating between fridge and freezer (or very slow transition between warm to freezer) does is increase the size of crystals, but overal yield (as well as potency) will be just the same.

thanks for the knowledge people. So my dog Isis has an unknown quantity of spice that has been washed with cold ammonia and she has already done a titration with pleasant effects. Is there any purpose to xtal even a small portion of it? Do i understand this will only effect taste or smell?

washing with ammonia is not advised - the step is contained in some teks but many people have experienced loss of product. Glad to hear SWIY didn't lose all. If you saved the ammonia it may be possible to recover a bit from it. Be sure to dry the freebase completely - sealing in a container for a day then sniffing for any solvent volatiles is a good test. Only that floral/dry straw scent of indole should waft out...!
Re-X is a great clean up method - it results in whiter crystals and less plant oils. This apparently makes for a smoother, less pungent inhale. She is looking forward to some glitter-clear shards which wait on the shelf now...
