So Ive made a golden dragon tincture using my pre-vaped herbs by placing them in a pyrex container with a few ounces of 151 and simmering for 20 minutes at no more than 170 degrees F. This was so successful that i mad a second pull.

I am now considering making a green dragon from some fresh stuff and my question is this:

So long as my temps dont exceed 170 would i lose any potency by leaving this on for longer? or would it just reduce the volume of liquid overall?

When you say "fresh" hopefully you don't mean wet. Make sure you dry your stuff first. Then bake it in the oven at 200 deg for 20 mins. This will promote conversion of the canabiniods and make it more potent. Then reflux it in the strongest alcohol you can get (everclear if possoble) for 20 mins. If you don't have equipment to reflux, don't go over 170 deg. It's not neccessary to heat longer and THC does degrade with heat so don't do it longer. The more water in your alcohol = more chlorophyl and unwanted garbage in your tincture. When your done, filter it (vacuum through buchner if possible), and store in cool dark place to keep potency. If you use bud or frosty leaf clipping and you want it strong, use 1 lb/gallon alcohol. This will send you to the moon with 3mL. One more thing, make sure you have lots of food in your house.

so Im all thumbs today and managed to spill my pyrex into the water that i was using to heat my tincture. Is there any easy way to evap the water? Or just deal with a watered down tincture?

If you keep all that water in there it will be like drinking swamp water. You could boil off the alcohol, then do a non-polar extraction, boil off your solvent to leave you with oil, which you would re-dissolve in any alcohol at that point. This would also clean your oil as opposed to boiling off the water from the beginning. Use a solvent with a low bp like DCM if you can get it.
