I have a lovely bridgesii cutting, about 40cm long.
Ive got the soil mix i want and im ready to pot it.

So the question is, what matters more : lateral root growth, or vertical root growth?

When a cactuses roots are cramped in a pot, it stops growing. im wondering which will stop it?

Any other tips for cactus planting and growing?

Thanx

, they still grow when rootbound if they get fed from time to time./

they have wide, shallow roots for the most part

tips,
be sure the cut is well calloused, dont water it much, if at all, until roots form.
keep it from full sun, at least until it roots and starts growing
