Just recived this from my vendor!

what you were sent is shredded mimosa root bark. We have had to discontinue the powdered form of the mimosa because last autumn the Home Office all of a sudden decided to take the view that the powdered form is a "preparation of DMT" and hence illegal. The Sun published an anti-DMT propaganda article full of lies about it and customs seized over 100kg of it and two vendors got raided and arrested. We lost 15kg but luckily weren't raided. Since we knew that the powder would not make it through customs anymore, our wholesaler bought a shredder and started shredding it instead of powdering it for the UK market, and it looks like customs are letting it through in this form. So what you received does come from exactly the same source in Brazil, it is just in another form. You can still use it to dye your clothes in exactly the same way as with the powder.
If you want to send it back and receive a refund, we can do that. However you will probably find it very difficult to obtain powdered mimosa in the UK at the moment, as everyone we know of who used to sell it has either discontinued it or gone out of business. There should be a court case later this year and we are quite sure that the Home Office will lose since they don't really have a leg to stand on, so if and when this happens we might be able to sell powder again. But for now we are only selling shredded because we don't want to be put out of business by a raid and seizures.

has anyone extracted from the shredded root bark yet? Did it effect the yield or length of time it takes?

It should increase your yield by a tiny amount, because less DMT is oxidized ect because of there being less surface area of shredded bark. Therefor there should be more DMT content in your bark.

Extraction should take a little bit longer. However, a move to shredded bark is not a massive deal. Someone just needs to do a nice simple shredding tek for people that may be unsure of how to do it themselves.

Honestly, I have a cheap and tiny coffee grinder that I have always used to powder Mimosa. I just rip it apart by hand, twisting it to pull apart the fibers. Never needed anything to further cut it with. I just processed small amounts and it powdered just fine. The first time I ever finally ordered powdered bark, I felt like such a spoiled little kid.

maybe ill have to invest in a cheap coffee grinder. but if someone could post a shredded tek that would be useful as i dont think i can get a coffee grinder any time soon.

Anyone know if they could take any legal action if they were to find powdered mimosa at swiy house?

A friend got raided for some other stuff and they took about 100g o powdered mimosa which they suspected being something else, they took this together with some syrian rue seeds.

I believe mine was a $15 investment, and it's been happily grinding Mimosa for over three years.
