Anyone knows how to delete all info on the pc that none could by found or restored if someone steals your hard disc ?somewhere swim rad about a program that wipes all info on pc maibe someone knows its name ?

zubidlo got encrypted the directory with personal files. By windows. You can encrypt whole disk in windows if you wish (whole part of partition table - FAT). There is good pro soft for that on net too. But windows seems to do job well too. Be aware that real time encryption will slow down access to data. So encrypt only what necessary.

or you can keep your files on net storage space. zubidlo uses and recommends Dropbox. 2GB space for free, which act like directory on your disk, protected by some safer authentication protocol. For more space --> money Be aware of fact that you need net connection to access your files there.

There is a soft which is able to delete disk properly. Literally rewrites all bits on disk to 0. So called 'nuke the disk'. But they are slow, we talk in terms of hours. So if copas knock on your door, you fucked You can have that soft from Hiren's Boot CD. It's useful to nuke disks when you sell your old comp. See 'hard disk tools' section on this page:

I recommend CCleaner. It knows all the places to go to scrub and I have mine set to 3 passes of DOD 5220.22-M. There are options going up to 35 passes of various other secure methods. It works a wonder, and fairly quickly. You can set it to delete what you want and when you run it again it remembers and takes care of it. Wonderful little prog.

This data (network traffic) are keept on net. You have unique IP address. But NEXUS for example is 'HTTP secure protocol' (https://www.dmt-nexus....) so it's encrypted. No one can see your IP - where are you from. Network traffic is stored in browser on your disk. Nuke the disk and ALL is gone. But your traffic could be found on your access point at home, provider firewalls etc. I'm not a specialist on this issue. Depends how many people share your home network, share same outside IP, or if your network is secure enough. Maybe someone else could help you better to understand.

But I would advice to clear 'browsing data on your browser (Chrome, Firefox etc)' often if you're worried. I'm not worried, reading info on drugs and such is not illegal (yet ), or is it?

There was a man who shared illegal contents on network. Uploaded terrabytes of movies to torrents and such. His computer was confiscated by copas. But it was clean. So they tried to prove his intent through net traffic. Without success.

You see... He got wireless network at home. Unprotected. Anyone could connect to his access point just by parking a car outside his house. Without breaking a password (so called 'sniffing'. Because he had no password authentication on. So he claimed that this is what happened. Someone else used his net to share data out there All computers connected to network share (usually) one outside IP address. So...no way to prove who is who from outside (providers firewalls etc.)

As I said, I'm no network geek, so if story got a flaw, please correct me someone. But still I didn't make this story up, it had happened. It's just possible I don't see into the issue deep enough and made mistake in narrative .

I would do 12 passes if I were you. I've been able to recover data from 4 re-formats after 3 years of use and that was just using recovery software. Police forensics use electron microscopes. Shadows of old data remain for a long time even after re-writing all the bits to 0's!

This may actually be a good defense if your pc is clean. This happens quite often and is pretty popular, its called "war driving".

Edit: The flaw would be if the connections in question happen regularly over a long period of time and you don't live in a populated area.

For encryption check out TrueCrypt, it is open source meaning the code has been checked over and over again to see if there are no backdoors in it and it's of course free. You can use it on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Also check the Plausible Deniability of TrueCrypt. To make a story short: You make a hidden volume inside your encrypted volume. So essentially you have two passwords, one for the visible encrypted volume and one for the hidden encrypted volume. If they force you to give up a password you only give the one for the visible volume. There is no good way to see if there is a hidden volume at all, it all looks like random data so you have a Plausible Deniability to state that you have no more encrypted data as the first visible volume.

Then to the security of the DMT-Nexus. All traffic from and to the DMT-Nexus is encrypted as long as it's on the DMT-Nexus. Sometimes images are embedded with the img tag, those images are not from the DMT-Nexus (e.g. imageshack) thus not encrypted. So offsite images and Youtube movies are not encrypted when you visit this forum.

To prevent trolling in the forum we store the IP addresses, however those IP addresses are quadruple encrypted via an offsite mechanism, this means that there is no encryption algorithm in the forum code.
