Just saw this over at the Shroomery. Very sad, they are asking for donations to help with his medical bills.

I'll just post the link to the shroomery, I assume this is ok given the nature of the topic...

this makes me very sad. sasha shulgin is an amazing person and has given immeasureably to a movement that could very well be the most important awakening of humanity's current evolution. i truly hope that he pulls through, but given his age the likelihood is low.

at the very least, i would like to see a lasting continuance of his work. maybe something along the lines of what i was just talking to traveler YESTERDAY about. (in honesty, the timing of this event is too coincidental to even contemplate...)

i am looking into a possible site in brazil to set up the SHULGIN INSTITUTE FOR THE RESEARCH OF ENTHEOBOTANICALS or SIRE. i've had this idea for some time and i want to see it done. it would be amazing to have a place where people can come and learn about every facet of this work. a modern-day Hogwarts Academy. a school for wizards.....for those wishing to learn, preserve and ADD TO the shamanistic wisdom of our elders. chemistry, philosophy, ritual, lore, collaboration, botany....everything.

i think it would be sometihng Dr. Shulgin would be proud to be a part of and to have his name attached to.

i will be sending an email off to a friend who is very close with him. i will let him know that an entire community is united in sending him the best wishes possible. hopefully, he will be able to understand and take strength from that. if it is his time to wake up from this dream, then i can only celebrate and give thanks for such an important pioneer to have given so much to MY life directly as well as the world. he is truly an amazing man.

thanks for the head's up to the community, methtical- this is big news.

much love and gratitude!!

Wow, very sad news. Blessings and prayers go out to him and his family.

I would contribute to this if I had some money.

I may soon.

Forgive me posting in totally inappropriate places where no one is gonna read this anyway hehe but no access to the main forums means got no choice, but, this looks really interesting:

http://dirtypicturesthefilm.com (watch the trailer)

There is someone in that movie who I want to share with you an email I got about, it's not me trying to make anyone here make a donation (though they may if they wish ofc), I just want to inform people here about what was said about him in our mailing list because many there are among his closest friends and I'm going to hazard a guess that there will be many here who would want to know about this. I know I would, if I didn't already, so here it is:

Quote:
A great man needs help
