I had just spent a few months reading every word of every issue of The Entheogen Review, early 1990's to 2008. One of the late 2006 editions had and article called "DMT for the Masses" by Noman. I had attempted a couple of extractions up to that point and they had been dreadful failures. A later, 2008 edition of ER had an addendum to the original tek. It was ON! I did my first extraction and wound up with a small vial of very white crystals - this was what I had been looking for for over 23 years!!!!!

One of the final articles in the 2008 editions of ER had the very famous Jungle Spice by Entropymancer. I read things compulsively, so of course I checked all the notes and references. Wow! So many of the wild, outrageous, crazy, hilarious comments about DMT and Jungle Spice came from a bunch of users with very funny names from a website called dmt-nexus.me. Incredible!

After a couple of weeks I tried my extraction. Then I logged on to the Nexus and posted an introduction essay.

I hope others will share their stories too.

... was not so long ago. Things inside me were changing rapidly and the world out there did not seem to be able to keep up. I deviated from what I thought I was doing, slipped into a different mind set almost unnoticed but once I was there I knew I had to find a way, a new way. I knew I was not on my optimum trajectory, knew my being reached for something else, and I had to re-align myself with that which is at the core of my self.

I searched for something. Suddenly words like psychedelics began swirling around in my mind again. Things that had been forgotten for many years. I needed change. I stumbled over reports on erowid about 5-meo and n,n and realized that this would help, this might just make me move the way I needed to.

I don't know how I found the nexus from there on. I suppose it was some kind of google-search that led me here. I began reading the extraction teks and realized that it's doable, not some fantasy. 10 years ago I had dreamed of doing it, but I was young and unorganized, never got around to acquiring the solvents needed or anything else. But now, with this immense site of information I knew it would be possible.

Then I read more and I noticed something about the tone. This was not like the regular places I saw on the internet. For the first time in almost a decade I felt inclined to join in the conversations I found online. So I joined and here I am. Oh, and then I found the chat... Razz

much love

...I was looking for the Timewave Zero software. Lo! It was on this website with interesting artwork and pristine organization of its materials (If you haven't already, explore the rest of the site!). Upon inspection of the forum, I realized it had discussions about psychedelics, extractions, cultural and spiritual implications, etc. It wasn't like those other forums where folks are like "4/20, dawg...gun' get straight fucked!" I gained much novel information and popped into the occasional conversation. The Traveler has made the best DMT-related and, in my opinion, psychedelic-related website out there. Cheers!

First I got interested in Ayahuasca by listening to T.MakKenna back in 2005. I've heard him talking about DMT and was very much interested but doing an extraction seemed impossible. So I started to brew aya. Meanwhile bits and pieces of fascinating information about the spice were coming to my attention.

I did a few searches on the Internet and to my frustration have found that dmtworld has been closed. I kept searching and one fine day I've found that dmt-nexus was born. I was one of the first members but soon I've lost my password. The e-mail I used for subscription also expiredSad .

I re-subscribed much later only to find out what a great community the Nexus has become.

Thank you all and The Traveler!

I don't remember how i came across the nexus exactly..i'd been drifting around on many drug-related forums and i inevitably came across it at some point i guess.

I just remember being quite stoned the moment i first saw the main page, with that mind blowing psychedelic art. I probably cartwheeled on the spot

I believe I came here from lurking on edot. Funny, I still don't have an account there.

Came here since mid 2008... I googled something about DMT and somehow I entered the forum. I looked at the pink header and thought that this was a lame new-age DMT forum... and the slogan made me thought it was full of noobs like me. I was so wrong.

I returned on mid 2009 and lurked for several months and finally joined when I realized this would be the most important forum ever.

I think I actually stumbled across the nexus looking for DMT-inspired music. If you look in the "official" music section of the site (not on the forums) it's under construction or something like that. Anyway, I quickly got caught up in some of the more complete sections of the site and lastly the forums actually. I had been looking into teks for a while before coming across the nexus but they all seemed to have unreasonable (for me) time expectations like 22 days or more. When I discovered there were STB's that were one-nighters, I was stunned. Perhaps the molecule would finally be in my grasp. As it turns out, I tried the Lazyman's tek and failed miserably. I actually did get crystals from the tek but I didn't have the skill set or knowledge about how I could effectively dry and retrieve them. Anyway Q21Q21's tek turned out to work wonders for me (with several small adjustments on my own; don't worry, I do the acidification step Laughing ). So my first days were tied up in the first extractions section if I remember correctly, but especially once the tek was effortless to effectively pull off and I was left with more spice than I knew what to do with, and the experimentation that ensued from there led me to become greatly wrapped up in this little online community much more than I thought I would.

Iwas told about dmt by a buddy which caused an internet search. All the extractions were long (a month long extraction) and complicated. I ended up on the nexus( the old nexus) and ended up finding nomans tech. That was an awesome tech just what I was loooking for.Im pretty sure this was around the end of 07. Idont even think Trav was even a mod yet(Blacklo was the only one) I have been here ever since. There was around 500-600 members when I joined now to see close to 10,000 wow and still growing. Good job to this community.(are there any links to the old forum also some things have been under construction since I have been here any timeline on getting those sections up an running)

I found Marsofold's tek on drugs-forum and used this for my first extraction. Failing to obtain any effects from vaping the freebase, I thought my extraction hadn't worked correctly (as is happens, it was my smoking techique that was at fault). At this time my brother told me that a lot of people were smoking a thing called "Changa" at Boom Festival. I googled this and read Erik Davis' article on the festival and his experience with it and thought this might be a better way of consuming the spice. Looking for methods to create changa led me to the Nexus.

....DMT World had just gone down, the teks had not been refined very well (I remember before it went down the thread about using a syringe to drop the basified mimosa wine through the naphtha for better yeilds Shocked )

A bit later after my so-so 1st attempt at extracting (jungle-like spice) finding the Nexus...I believe it was still in it's infancy...what a forum!

That's where I came from. In a thread in the salvia section on edot, fractal enchant told me about the nexus. I immediately signed up and started reading. At first, it was just a little interesting. Thinking maybe I could pull it off one day. To now working through my second extraction. Great site this is, with a bunch of great people.
