this has probably been gone over, but has anyone used fasw instead of vinegar or hcl to salt mescaline from d-limonene?
if so, is the product similar to crude acetate?

69ron tried salting Mescaline-fumurate out of d-limonene but it is somewhat soluble in the d-limonene and doesn't precipitate out like DMT-fumurate.

It would be very curious to test other acids and either IPA, acetone or water.
Ascorbic acid, tartaric acid, Oxalic acid, citric acid. There are many others that are as easy to get as fumeric acid.

SWIM is a noob at extracting mescaline and is out of d-limonene at the moment so it would be better done by somebody else

The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

Using FASW with limonene, one gets a product similar to the carbonate saltings, a waxy tan product. Vinegar produces red-brown, while carbonic and fumaric produce beige to tan. One is dealing with a lot of impurities, using achuma, so the product tends to be sticky and have color.

When using fumaric or carbonic, there does tend to be a loss in yield, but Eye think its because vinegar pulls more or adds impurities. The acetate is more oily than fumaric or carbonate. One has never dealt with any other acid.

p.s. We don't really know how soluble carbonate and fumarate are in limonene, do we? I'm almost certain for no really good reason, the vinegar I use has impurities and/or simply by using 5% acetic and not diluting it to say 3%, gets me more alkaloids, plus I tend to use achuma, which is notorious for being rich in many different alkaloids besides mescaline.

Fumaric acid saturated acetone or ipa is a possible way to quicken evaporation, correct?

SWIM has found that mescaline fumarate can be precipitated in essentially the same way as DMT fumarate. The one thing he found is that this process must be entirely free of water, so using calcium chloride or anhydrous magnesium sulfate is a must in both the IPA/Fumaric acid solution, and the Limonene/Mescaline solution....

...SWIM's past experiments have found that Mescaline fumarate is fairly insoluble in dry/cold IPA, though this is not necessarily important if the IPA/Fumaric solution is added slowly/dropwise and left to precip for a day in the limonene, the precips after decanting are some of the cleanest mesc SWIM has ever precipped straight out of solution (cleaner than the precips SWIM yielded using the dry acetone/HCL solution method) and don't need any further purification steps.

SWIM thinks the next most valuable steps in the development of mesc teks would be the determination of methods to precipitate and purify fumarate and citrate salts, as they can be salted directly out of solution easily, and they aren't as finnicky as trying to do the same with HCL salt out of NP solution. SWIM is positive that mesc fumarate is a viable, non-hygroscopic salt form that could easily replace the HCL salt form if some more time and experimentation were put into it.

very intersting, from narmz

or could it be the loss in yield is due to mescaline fumarate being partially soluble in limonene?
hmm
