Ok guys, so I have my extraction in proceess, in one jar I got 50 grams of mimosa solution with water and lye and naptha and my other jar is the same way. Although the naptha after seperation in jar A is like a pale yellow like it normally is, but my other jar after sepeartion the naptha layer is brown/black? What could cause this, ive tried heating the solution to no success, i can try adding more lye/water to it if you think that may help. If nothing changes can I still freeze percip, and just pretend its the normal colored naptha, or i take it this is a problem... Any input would be extreme, thanks

separate the black naphtha, salt out with vinegar, re-base the vinegar, re-extract with fresh solvent...

seems black naphtha happens with some very finely powdered bark, maybe microscopic droplets of the mimosa layer that refuse to settle. Do as mentioned above and you should be fine
