SWIM is interested in starting and widening a circle of intrepid explorers, people who wish to heal themselves, those seeking religious and mystical experiences, and other beautiful people.

The dress should be high-brow, white cloaks or other specially designated celebratory garb.

There will be many white candles, arranged in a circle.

Group Meditation will focus our will and our minds.

Flowers will ensure positivity and good intentions are abound.

SWIM would loosely pattern the ceremony on ayahuasca healing retreats, only, the medicine will be of higher purity.

The white cloak idea sounds weird ..I like to be colorful when tripping, and preaty much when not as well..I feel weird about dress codes in general..I cant help but think it represents a suppression of an individuals need to express themselves through external mediums.

Group work is cool though.

Since when the genitals of plants are associated with positivity and good intentions? It is preposterous to castrate plants.

Animal genitalia are far more appealing to have lying around if you intend to evoke positive feelings.

I like the idea in general, however dresscode would through me off as well. I like to wear really comfy clothes when I trip, like these aladdin pants or something similar. The color usually doesn't matter to me that much, but it's really important for me that I'm warm and comfy, don't feel restricted.

A nice place for this kind of work is essential. nice places for ppl to sit and lay on would be a must imo.
I'd be afraid of real candles though. make sure they are safe and no one gets burnt or burns down something else...

I would love to do group work, personally. depending on what would be the goal of the group thing, a percussion/trance session might be nice. Also something I experienced recently at a spiritual festival I visited was something they called "toning". It's where everyone starts to hum the frequency they feel is in them. We did this in a very large group and it felt amazing. The leader of the session also sang some really nice almost angelic sounding notes into his mic over the collective humming.

What would you want a ceremony to focus on, other than healing in general?

Personally what I would like to try during group sessions would be to strengthen the feeling of interconnectedness and possibly create a wave of co-evolution, feeding your own progress into the morphogenetic field or whatever web or linkage we have to one another and the higher orders (that we are in part creating with just these things...?). Can the group sync in such a way as to create a transpersonal collective higher intelligence? And can this phenomenon be fed into the memory of the world so that emergences of such a thing will become more common?

If the idea were more to focus on personal growth rather than collective trans-personal growth I would try to focus on a concept I recently became acquainted with: The cultivation of light. Not just finding it and connecting to it, but cultivating it within, making it grow and evolve into something complex and intricate, feeding it. This concept is new to me but has a ring to it that makes me want to meditate over it. So that's what I'd do in a group as well. Maybe share ideas afterwards to see how everyone felt about this concept, maybe get a clearer picture of what it means.

I have done toning twice with a group of friends while we were outside skygazing...it was with generally reserved and shy people, but it turned out really nice. Would love to do it inside and with someone to sing over top!

This is really interesting. I'd probably consider myself too zealous, not sure I belong acting as leader. But, I've thought about it. Just how sweet a healing/journeying ritual would be. A ritual room or space, with bold or exotic colors. I like it, but agree with others, people will be put off by forced dress. Encourage a style, or require a something simple to keep everyone in union (or trade unity of clothing for unity of something else). See what works best for your small group.

A lot of us here, I imagine, are in a good position to help others, and revive a forgotten art. That of ceremony and ritual. Empowering yourself through imagination and symbolism. Bringing breath into beats and beats into the breath. If you are compelled to do it, I say do it. Percussion and humming/chanting I'm sure are powerful and exciting tools, don't forget your rattles too.
