Ive started using a xylene mix to pull the last spice form my current xtract, do i need to evap this or could i use a acid water to pull the goodies from the xylene and then base that with lye and use heptane to get my goodies?

Ive worked about 5mins with xylene and don´t like the thought of evaping any of it at home.

yes you can salt with vinegar or something and base and pull with heptane. Just make sure to make several heptane pulls to get most goodies out, because xylene dissolves dmt better than heptane.

Another option is salting with FASA to get fumarate crystals. And yet another option is evapping the vinegar salt pulls, base with sodium carb and pull with IPA/acetone/ethanol, and you'll have all your alkaloids.

Yeah xylene is horrible, I hate it, and if I dont absolutely have to for some reason (cant imagine why), I will never use it again. I strongly suggest you check out limonene, its sooo much nicer to work with something that makes the place smell of oranges, then something that smells like the devil's gas station.

If you're going for jungle, I don't think that the heptane would pull it since the jungle alks don't seem to be at all soluble in heptane.

FASA's the way forward for xylene pulls.

I've got so many fun memories of doing xylene extractions with FASA. It does stink but I much prefer the product I end up with using the xylene/FASA method than any other tek.

Ok i have already put some vinegar water in with the xylene but next pull i will mix with fasa and then compare the results
