Alright, how would one make sure that the smell doesn't come through? Would a few layers of saran wrap/tin foil work? Don't have any mason jars, and I can't really buy any (no drivers license and the store is like 10 miles away and I don't have a bike either).

Your subject is Freeze precipitation.

Are you having a problem with your freezer smelling like Naphtha?

or do you have some spice that was freeze precipitated and you want to store it so it doesnt smell like spice?

they don't have to be mason jars, just clean any glass jar with a metal cap and use that if possible. Swim used a spaghetti sauce jar and a green olive jar last time. No smell seemed to come out of the ones I used, and I don't think it left the smell/taste in any of the food in the freezer, but I'm sure saran wrap would probably help even more.

buy a jar with a freakin lid/cork?!

also, plasticwrap and solvents donot mix...

using foil as a lid can lead to water condensation upon removal of solvent and return to room temp(not REALLY a problem since you should dry it more anyway.)
