So I just watched these videos with Joe Rogan talking about isolation tanks and the effects they can have upon a person's mind. http://www.youtube.com/w...rHgA&feature=relatedI did a search on these forums for isolation tank and only found a thread talking about colorblind people and tripping so I ask you guys... has anyone ever been in one or have any stories? This sounds like something I'd definitely want to try.

a friends brother went in one once. only for one hour (you paid by the hour i guess) and he said by the end of it he was feeling very relaxed but just as things started to get weird his session was up.

Ive heard you have to stick with it to get results, doing it on quite a regular basis. Ive been wanting to do it for some time but its not exactly cheap and im poor

^yea that was pretty much the same conclusion my brother reached. basically if you don't own one or do research with one its not very practical.

Allthough they do not have them where Im at. Im old enough to have enjoyed them many times! When I was living in Phoenix the university used to pay me!!! Yes used to PAY me to be in them for up to six hours at a time!!! Such a usefull aid to meditation &SWIM has used all manner of Psycedelics in these hard to find to rent or buy devices! All I can say is if you ever get the chance, DO IT!!!

I've done it once. It's not like taking a psychedelic, but definate;y a pleasant experience.
