Q21's white DMT tek seems to be the way for many people, especially novices and people who don't want to be working with nasty lye. I have been doing some research about the tek and I thought I would do a small compilation of things that help to reach good results from the tek. Here's just my small share but please add your tips too.

-Use a glass or metal bowl for mixing as plastic might leave some residues from scraping while mixing and in worst case will be dissolved in naphtha. When using glass, make sure it's not cold before pouring in boiling water, otherwise it might crack!

-When adding splashes of water during the freebasing step, make sure it's boiling/almost boiling, it's no longer mentioned in the tek(it was updated yesterday)

-Another thing that is not mentioned after updating is the duration of how long the lime/MHRB/vinegar mix should be freebasing(before it was 2-5 hours), now q21 mentioned this on another board:
~10-15 minutes for at least 60-70% of the DMT to be freebased.
Within 1 hour 80-90% is freebased
The final 10-20% is freebased within a 24-48 hours.

-Use a fork or other similar object when mixing with naphtha, it will help the naphtha to be absorbed more evenly

-If you feel that after scraping off the crystals they still might have some naphtha trapped inside, redissolve it in acetone, here's more info about the procedure:
https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=17798

-When heating the naphtha with water from bottom bowl, use less heat for first two pulls for whiter crystals, for later pulls you can use boiling water

-After pulling the crystals out from the freezer, it is recommended to put them under slight breeze(such as fan on "light" setting), to prevent the crystals from redissolving back into the remaining naphtha

...

So here's some info I have acquired and I think it will help other novices as they aren't so often mentioned.

So if you have any more tips PLEASE ADD

Good luck with the holy spice!

SWIM's result with this tek(0,25 gram batch):

I always use a form but i don't use a fork to mix the naphtha in, i dry the mix out a lot with lime, then break the mix up into small pieces with a fork, then i add the Naphtha but i don't mix it in with anything, i just swirl it around the mix, i find if i mix the Naphtha then i lose a lot of it.

Thats the best tip i could give for this tek, as its only downfall that i found was losing Naphtha in the mix.

Apart from that id' say leaving your dish in the freezer for at least 72 hours helps to bump the yield up.

New discovery:

For the first mix were used 1ml 10% vinegar per 1gram of bark, this seemed to result in more yellow mixture

For the second mix were used 10ml 10% vinegar and 5ml water per 15g of bark, this batch resulted in much whiter yield.

Conclusion: I would suggest using the above formula or about 5% vinegar, but no guarantee it will work the same.

I've just done my 8th pull and i got a few yellow spots, but they are separate from the white crystals, so it seems this tek can pull plant oils but when you freeze precip they stay separate from the crystals (using naphtha)

I also got quite a substantial sticky film on the glass dish this time unlike earlier pulls, so am scraping the crystals one by one, i Love harvesting

I see that the best method with dealing with the sticky film under the crystals is just redissolving it together with the crystals in acetone(the technique is linked above), produces very nice smoke!
I suppose the sticky film is DMT n-oxide or similar.

this is an old thread, but about 5-7 minutes nearly constant mixing. The tek says 5-15 minutes if I remember correct
