I think it would be a good idea to document kratom dosage and effect, also including strains and potencies.
I'm new to this plant and I believe its effects are promising.
Having ingested kratom 4 times, I only recently obtained a scale so, only one dose was measured.
7 grams of super-fine bali kratom induced very euphoric effects. I can say I was substantially "stoned." Any more may have been uncomfortable. I felt a nice warmth that buzzed from my feet to my head. Upon resting my eyes I imagined interesting scenes that resembled dreaming. It helped numb my back pain very well, which is awesome considering ibuprofen and such do not ease my pain.
I've tried super-indo kratom without measuring. I'm guessing I had done no more than 5 gram doses every time. The effects were similar to bali with a bit less sedation. I also felt energized and sometimes jittery.
I will update accordingly and experiment with higher and lower doses of all the strains I try. Any contributions to data and experimenting would be great.

As I have stated before, if we aren't allowed to talk about opium/opiates here, the same applies to kratom.
I have nothing against kratom usage personally, but its effects aren't exactly psychedelic.

I think it highly depends on the strain and where you got it from. You have to find your dosage everytime new with each batch. That being said, there has been cases of addiction, so be careful.

Personally I have not found kratom to be addictive after months of daily use. There was no withdrawal or mental addiction whatsoever after supply ran out. I have not had more since that venture. I have somewhat of an addictive personality so this is surprising to me. Caffeine is more addictive than kratom IME. I'm sure this does not go for everyone. Kratom can be addictive so as others have stated; tread carefully! Bali is the only strain I have decent experience with, it's stimulating at low doses and sedating at higher doses. Too much can make me sick, but that gets harder to accomplish as tolerance builds. Disclaimer: All Entheogens and other research materials are not for Human consumption! I have researched by text the effects of consuming such things in case of accidental consumption. I have never actually consumed any of the materials I speak about and it should be assumed I'm speaking hypothetically. I have a wild imagination.

Same here man, I can use it nonstop for months and just feel a little groggy when I stop. To the guy saying its an opiate, the effects really are far different than papaver alkaloids. If we can't talk about kratom I guess we better ditch mints, salvia, catuaba, yohimbe etc. also

I second that Bali is my favorite strain so far. I use around 3 grams of resin (3X) for good effects, sometimes accompanied with kava kava extract, on an empty stomach the euphoria builds ans stay for some times along with positive stimulation with no jittery effects I have wih coffee. I don't personnally find it addictive, tolerance building straight up from day 1. Day 2 I don't feel any effects or so little that it's a waste of product. It's true it's not apsychedelic, but it's a coffee gender plant and salvia acts on opioids receptor but not the same one as opiates do (salvia acts on kappa recptor, the addictive opiates act on mu-receptors). Smell like tea n,n spirit !
Toke the toke, and walk the walk !

i've hallucinated off of maeng da kratom on a number of occasions. Computer text being layered backwards through the screen at specific moments when i was reading to make me realize some words were more important than others.... and peoples faces morphing into other faces. I usually eat 4 grams straight toss n wash. When Injustice Becomes Law, Rebellion Becomes Duty

I like Malaysian, its the most sedating/least stimulating. I find 5-7 grams to be very enjoyable. I usually only take it as a way to unwind in the evening after a long day, and certainly not often enough for it to be considered a habit. Weed compliments it very well. Malaysian puts me to sleep without fail. I hope to someday add a Malaysian kratom tree to my garden. It relieves my chronic back pain from a surgery quite some time ago. Usually I just deal with the pain, but sometimes the pain becomes unbearable and as little as 2 grams makes the pain disappear. As someone said before, on the second day of use, the tolerence buildup is soo steep its a waste. All post are made by SWIM. I am not SWIM.
