THE AMOUNT LEFT AFTER DECANTING THE ACETONE AND DRYING THE SOLIDSNote: After the solids settled at the bottom of the glass the acetone was decanted and discarded.
We are left with an amount of only 0.3g, so we lost 0.2g in this testJust a very small amount of the harmala-freebase could not be scraped from the glassThe results speak for itself:
* We started with fairly clean harmala-freebase.
* After adding the acetone to the harmala-freebase it got colored.
* We started with 0.5g and we ended with 0.3g. This means that 0.2g was dissolved in 50ml of acetone.
Conclusion:
* 50ml of acetone can dissolve about 200mg of fairly clean harmala-freebase.
* endlessness was correct with questioning the statement that harmala-freebase could not be dissolved in acetone.
If anyone has anything to say about this, please let it be known in this thread.
