Was doing a fumarate to freebase conversion via the type 1 slow crystallization method and something interesting was waiting for me in the fridge a few hours into the process.
The fumarates used were far from pure and there was a total of 1300 mgs of light brown fumarates. It was from an old BLAB that was done with bad technique.
The brown cookie with white specs in the picture, once dried, weighed 550 milligrams.
It was growing out from the side of the glass like a platform right at the point where the water met the air. The brown disc was removed to prevent more crystals from growing on it.
No clue what the brown part, the bulk, of the cookie is (mimosa contamination, other alks?) and surely there is some freebase trapped in there but in any case it seems that this conversion also helped to purify the DMT.
We'll see if the DMT is easily recoverable from the cookie.
