Here's the equipment: ATM I've got to work out how to use the Buchner filter before I start, I don't have a pump, but I do have a 3 part plastic thing (can I upload pix here?) I think maybe I have to attach it to a tap or something lol.

Here's really easy instructions for converting a bicycle pump into a vacuum pump. Highly useful for Manske extractions. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

Hi bwoy. I believe that is an aspirator. You flow water through it vertically, and it uses the venturi effect to pull a vacuum from the horizontal inlet. I think all you have to do is connect it to a water faucet, connect your vacuum tube to the horizontal barb, then turn on the water and let the vacuum slowly build. bwoy wrote: That's really cool! I dont think that's going to pull enough suction to get your stuff through a buckner filter as the paper used is pretty thick and clogs pretty much instantly. I had to do some major pumping to get my stuff filtered and I went through a lot of filters anyhow. If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

I second that. I think hand pumps work better with buchner funnels. bwoy wrote:vovin wrote:I dont think that's going to pull enough suction to get your stuff through a buckner filter as the paper used is pretty thick and clogs pretty much instantly.
