If you are so sure it's too much crap to pay for then why the hell do you want to see it?

I just don't buy DVDs.

I torrented it, watched it, then bought it. Its worth the money. Great documentary, I love how they paint the breakthrough.
Step forward into your cave. That's right. You're going deeper into your cave. And you're going to find, your power animal...

Imagine your pain as a white ball of healing light. It moves over your body, healing you. Now keep this going, remember to breathe, and step forward through the backdoor of the room. Where does it lead?

Even after reading the comments here, I was surprised how much they pushed the pineal theory. Loved Ralph Abraham and Kat Harrison.

Yeah. I suppose maybe we have to lay that one on Mitch. I think he had something like two hours of interviews for each person and decided to put this in even with pics. It didn't specifically say YES it is true, but it was sure leading.

Overall though I was really impressed with the production. The animations that came and went were really well done and blended in with the film great without being over the top or cheesy. And overall it was very informative and cool to hear a wide range talking about this stuff. Of course nothing new was presented, but I don't think any of us expected there to be some sort of new information out there that was sort of secret that would be on this DVD that THIS site wouldn't already know Smile.

Apparently they will be putting all the interview material out as part of Creative Commons licensing so that anyone can use the footage in stuff they want to show. I'm really interested to see more from Kent, Abraham, Harrison and a few others. Just got my DVD but watch it online before it got here, so maybe there is some good stuff on the extra's.

Oh anyone want a pink poster that came with it? I'm about 15 years past my hanging up posters phase Razz. The shirt is alright though, I think I'll keep it.

To SoCal,

I put a link earlier in the thread. There is a DVD option available on the projects site (see my link). Not sure if it is still only paypal, but they said they will be getting it up on Amazon hopefully soon.

When I first realized Joe Rogan was going to be in the movie I was like, "Huh?"

But I'm absolutely delighted with the role Joe Rogan played in the film.

I'm buying at least 5 copies, I thought it was great a presentation.

I thought the doc was pretty good. The electric sheep was a nice bonus as always Very happy

I didn't really expect much or any new information to be presented, so i wasn't tooo disappointed there. And besides, strassman's new book is supposed to be coming out in 2011 anyway...so perhaps we will get a new look at how the theories have evolved since in there. I guess its going to be called Souls of prophecy.

Anyway, after watching the video i was skimming through the spirit molecuel for a few minutes and found a paragraph that i found curious, which might be of interest to some:

"There are LSD receptors on the pineal gland, and mescaline raises
serotonin levels in the pineal. Beta-carbolines accelerate melatonin formation,
in addition to their previously described property of magnifying
and prolonging DMT effects. And DMT is the most potent of several
psychedelics that stimulate pineal melatonin production.” -spirit molecule page 92

i'm not insinuating that this is pineal-dmt evidence, obviously. just curious if anyone has any thoughts/ideas/insights on any of this, since i've never heard of most of it?

Oh, I'm not Joe Rogan bashing... I'm a huge fan, and I'm looking forward to checking out this link. I'm a fan because I'm 99% on board with His views. I just didn't "get" what he was doing in the documentary when the sneek peeks where released, but now I'm delighted.

I'm hoping they release an extended cut with more length of interviews recorded and "not featured..." For example I'm bummed they didn't include interviews with Stan Grof, M.D., (psychiatrist)

I was overall very pleased with this documentary. I even liked the visuals. I usually don't like visuals that are supposed to represent psychedelic visuals because they usually misfire badly on a 2D tv screen.

Yea, the visuals came out really great. Several times seemed just like coming down from a good changa session, to SWIM.

Edit: Also, I watched this downloaded, as a Kickstarter supporter. My copy just arrived today, so if you're still waiting, worry less.
