Bonjella,

Just wondering why Phlux's tek, which sounds like one of the better places to start for a mescaline extraction, misses out the step of performing a defat on the cactus tea? I have read that for purity of final product it can be very useful to defat the plant matter before basifying the solution - is there any truth in this?

I'm sure it may help but I've never had any problems without it. Save time and solvents is what I say.
