What device do you use ? I recently had a small batch of heavily sodium carbonate contaminated spice (through clumsiness) but after looking at the bp of this chem (1600C) I vaped it anyway
with my GVG and it was as smooth as usual, the sodium carbonate was still in the bowl after all the dmt had been vaped (and we are talking about around 20mg sodium carbonate for 30mg dmt).

you cant smoke sodium carbonate..it will stay in the bowl unless you inhale some directly..and with a water filter it will never ever make it through that. I know, I have smoked largr ammounts of it many times in prepared snuffs, it always stays in the bowl..maybe it brings other contaminants into the spice, I cant say.
